Worst experience we've had at a restaurant in a long time. Our server (who ended up also being the manager), Mikayla, was incredibly unfriendly and we felt like a bother for even being sat in her section. Our food came out cold and instead of offering a solution she told us it had just come out (keeping in mind it was not that busy and we waited almost an hour, it was cold to the touch). She took it back and came back within 4 minutes so it had obviously been microwaved. No apology, no comment, just dropped it at table and left. There was just no sense of wanting to be friendly at all. when I approached her with this after we had paid, she was incredibly rude & shrugged. Definitely not worth the $75 meal and will not be back.
It has been a while. We stopped by after a movie for something to eat and a drink. The hostess was rude. Someone was looking at a menu to order, and she just made us wait to be seated even though it was very quiet. We asked if we could find a seat, she said very sharp im busy. The man said please help them.
Service was fine. My French onion soup tasted watered down, I had to pay extra for half a piece of garlic toast.
My husband had chicken fingers and fries, the chicken was dry and the fries tasted like old oil.
We will not be back!

Always love going to Joe's!
Very friendly and kind staff (Sheila is the bees knees )and The manager is great!
Any time we've had issues (once or twice) they have accommodated, and then some...
Great and affordable happy hour snacks!
My kiddo is vegetarian and always finds something to enjoy (they make it easy for changes).

We usually enjoy the food at the Langford location but our last few visits have been pretty lacking. Portion sizes are inconsistent or the food was cold, etc. This evening however was particularly poor. The burgers were decent, however the potato fries were a soggy, greasy stuck together mess (which was blamed on the type of potatoes they receive during the summer months????), the yam fries were completely over salted and the balsamic dressing was pretty much just balsamic vinegar! Super sour. I didn’t ask for a discount and tipped our server 20% (not her fault). We simply won’t go back.
Good place, happy people and good prices

Drinks were terrible so don't order a margarita. We ordered appies that came cold and we didn't eat them. The only thing I would even say was half decent was the caesar salad. Find another option!!

Original Joes used to be really good bang for your buck, not sure if the franchise has changed or just this location. had ordered take out, and requested something on the side in the special instructions - instead of communicating it when I went in to pick up it was not acknowledged so I didn't realize until I got home. portion sizes are not worth the money spent either. will just save my money and go to a place in the city from now on.

Came in around 1:30 pm today, no one at the reception. Had 3 waitresses pass us by, all looked miserable and none acknowledged us. Had one looked right into my friend's eyes and still said nothing, just walked by. So we left.
Our last visit, the host/waiter was friendly and the food was good. But they couldn't get the machine to work to accept the Ultimate Dining E-Gift Card.
2 let downs in 2 visits. Not impressed.

Restaurantji Recommends
First off got placed at a hot bright table in the sun at the window had to ask to move food was great.. but the portions from now to 2 Years ago was quite a difference in size we both left hungry and had to go to McDonald's
My FAVOURITE restaurant so biased review. But honestly I’ve never had a bad experience at any OJ location. Unfortunately this has just changed - service was horrible, the food was unedible, and our waitress was having a personal conversation instead of checking on our food. I left so dissapointed.

It bothers me to write such a poor review of my favourite restaurant. - went to OJ's in Langford. We were seated promptly, and everything was as good as usual. I had the burrito bowl with medium-rare steak and a side of fries, because I love the dill sauce. The food came out - my steak was so overdone that it was like shoe leather, and the fries were so cold they were inedible. our waitress had a personal friend come in and spent the entire time chatting with him. did not come check on our meal once. Anyway, I was very disappointed- had this been my first time at OJ's, I would never go back. She did, however, take the fries and burrito bowl off the bill.
Service was good, food was a good portion for the cost just found everything salty. There was course salt on the fries ad well they put salt on top of the fish which was not exactly appealing.
Been waiting almost an hour to get our food. The table beside us is the same thing. I asked our server how long the wait would be and she told me that they ran out of beef dip mix and had to buy more. Why not just come and tell us so we could order something different? The Pineapple was also out for the Kona burger.
Really put a damper on our Father’s Day dinner.
