If you want an authentic rural pub experience, the Blue Ox is a great choice! I had the daily special, bacon-wrapped meatloaf and was not disappointed. They serve the quintessential BC draft beers (big name lagers, pilsners) as well as a few BC craft selections. A great stop on a hot Okanagan day!

Celebrated anniversary and a birthday here last week. Enjoyed the dry ribs (one for every year). It was a big plateful, LOL. Supper was fantastic with generous portions. Service was excellent.

We stopped in for lunch today and shared a calamari appetizer as well as each had a meal. I think the calamari may have been the best I’ve ever had! It was crispy coated and like butter.. perfectly done ( not over cooked and rubbery). Each of our meals were fabulous , my fish was crispy and delicious. Everything was piping hot, the portions were huge and the server was efficient and friendly. Probably the best meal out we’ve had in years. Well done Blue Ox staff! Worth driving to Lumby for a meal here 😊
