**Update. We gave them another try and just ordered a few vegetarian pizzas. They were fantastic, loaded with toppings and mozzarella cheese (no cheddar). I'm glad they fixed the cheese issue, we will definitely order pizzas again. I've increased the rating to 4 stars for the pizza! **This is a difficult review to write. On one hand I want to support the local restaurants in Pender, but on the other hand I want to be honest and suggest improvements. We decided to give the golf club restaurant a try as we've largely forgotten it was even there. Someone published their menu on one of the Facebook groups, and they were promoting delivery, so we thought we'd give them a try on a lazy Saturday afternoon. So we called at 4pm on Saturday to place an order for dinner, but we were told there was no delivery until after 6pm, which was a little late for us. It also seemed kind of odd to promote delivery but not actually be able to deliver until a few hours before closing. Regardless, we wanted to give them a try so we placed the order for pick up instead. When I arrived for pick up, the young lady on cash was very nice and friendly. After waiting an extra fifteen minutes beyond what I was told on the phone, I got the pizza box and bag of food and brought it all home. We ordered a vegetarian pizza, fish and chips, and potato skins. It only took me 10 minutes to get the food home but everything was already cold when I opened the boxes. The pizza looked ok (although it seemed odd that they would use cheddar or marble cheese) but the potato skins were dry as though they had been under a heat lamp for an hour, the two pieces of fish were very small, thin, and oily (one piece was overcooked), and the bag of fries was full of oil and quite disgusting to look at (let alone eat). I'm fine with the price of the pizza for the size and amount of toppings, but the fish & chips for $24 - to get 2 tiny pieces and a small, greasy bag of (what appeared to be deep fried frozen shoestring fries) wasn't acceptable. Nor were the 5 pieces of dried out potato skins for $12. Again, for the price of the skins you definitely could have included at least 6 halves and added a little more cheese. If you want to see potato skins done properly, visit the Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt - they're a little more expensive at $18 but you receive a very large portion of skins completely overflowing with cheese. My wife rated the vegetarian pizza 5 out of 10, mostly due to the generous amount of toppings, but she didn't really care for the flavour due to the mixture of cheddar cheese. So to summarize, my suggestion would be to improve the size of the fish portions (or charge less), use fresh cut fries that aren't trapped in a greasy bag, add a few more potato skins with a little extra cheese so they aren't so dry, and try to improve the overall presentation of the food so it doesn't look like everything was jammed into a box or closed inside of a greasy bag. We gave your restaurant a try as a show of support, but it's highly unlikely we'll ever return to eat there again based upon this experience. We much preferred the Backeddy, Grasshopper, and Lighthouse Pub in Sechelt. The food and presentation was much better and the portions were larger. Thanks anyways :)

Our waitress was great. She recommended that we split the pizza as she thought the whole pizza might be a bit much for the two of us. She was correct and it saved us $15. We definitely recommend this restaurant with its new management.

This is a lovely little hidden gem, on the way back from Egmont, we headed over to see the Skookumchuck and were in desperate need of sustenance, and this place was perfect for brunch with a view. Had the big brekkie, and the husband had the eggs benny, both were delicious, homemade and fresh, good coffee too and fab view, and to top it off super reasonable price as well! Will definitely be back next time we are in the area!Parking: Tonnes of parking

The Clubhouse used to be a wonderful venue, with live music and a range of excellent food. Maybe it will be good again, but at the moment it provides a limited menu based on one of the local food trucks. I had the falafel, consisting of three tiny packet falafel with a greasy salad on a stale pita. I really hope this place can get its act together again

We've visited for lunch 3 times since The Clubhouse opened this spring. It's a family run restaurant, featuring pub fare, and they're doing a great job: Full service; friendly, professional servers; well-cooked food; generous servings; and clean washrooms. I especially like the side salads which have lots of good stuff in them besides lettuce. And the prices are probably the best on the Coast. What's not to like!

We are regulars at the clubhouse and I’ve always had a good meal. We went to watch the band half cut I can’t recall the rest of the bands name last Sunday. The food special were sliders. They are absolutely the worst and most disgusting presented food I have ever seen. The burgers were black burned charcoal the buns were burned it was barely little bit of cheese and mustard that’s it. We asked out waitress if she would eat it and she replied no. The waitress comped us some meatball appetizers which were just OK. They took the sliders off our bill and three times she told us the owner was going to come over and talk to us. He was running around all over the other tables in the restaurant but it chose to ignore us. We appreciate the waitresses attentive attitude towards our dining displeasure. The order on the other hand showed no concern or remorse. It will probably affect our willingness to go back there. We’re still kind of shocked that that happened.
