I didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant but the villa's we stayed in were absolutely gorgeous. Very spacious and clean. The views were great, outside hot tub was nice in the morning. Only bad thing was actually getting to the place. Due to the heavy snow fall they were unable to have the roads plowed. Not good when but in a car that's 3 inches off the ground. But they were very apologetic and upgraded our villa.

My girlfriend and I were on a hiking trip and spontaneously checked out this place after. We showed up 30 min before they opened and they still sat us and served us a drink and took our orders early.Everything was clean and spotless in a beautiful marina setting overlooking the water in a simple yet luxurious dining atmosphere. Most importantly, the kitchen staff was incredible, the food was delicious and unique. The serving staff stood out exceptionally. I had the pleasure of Gary waiting us and he was friendly, informational, and charismatic. We ordered a bottle of wine and never had to fill up the cups ourselves once, we appreciated all the extra little efforts he added to a full beautiful experience there.

My honey and I went on a hike and thought to go out for dinner after, we then explored and went to the lagoon restaurant at painted boat and it was incredibly magic. We ended up arriving 30 minutes early and the lady kindly sat us and let us in. Our waiter was Gary and he was pretty great. We got an amazing bottle of wine and had an appetizer. And entree and dessert. It was so tasty, literally watched my honeys eyes roll back into his head a few times and watched him forgot which hand he was holding the fork in. Magical night filled with love and the most generous waiter and the lovely manager that took care of us. Thank you for this surreal experience as it was so enjoyable and so tasty.

Nice spot at the resort overlooking the small harbour. But the food wasn’t great. Started with the breadbasket. It was served with homemade butters, but the flavours were odd- berry, brown sugar and plain. Not ideal to start a meal and shows poor culinary acumen. The dressing on the salad was not emulsified and too pungent - basically just vinegar. I had the seafood pasta and it was filled with olives, sun dried tomatoes and jarred artichoke, which made it overly salty and acidic. My mouth was irritated after from the acidity. Presentation was sloppy. Finished with the baked Alaska which was actually pretty good, the meringue was soft, the espresso ice cream paired well with the brownie base. For the price point, much better food elsewhere but limited availability in the area so they can get away with mediocrity. It would certainly elevate the resort to have quality food that matched the view.

Food was nothing crazy. Tuscan pasta was very bland, and the braised beef tips were dry and unseason. I was shocked at the lack of flavours for something that price. The mussels were good, but I’ve had comparable muscles at cheaper pubs.Service was fabulous but stars lost for the food.

Beautiful spot for dinner and from the moment we arrived super friendly service. We enjoyed the terrace for dinner, and we did book in advance. The food is really lovely and so well prepared. Really worth a visit. Great cocktails as well.

We dined here twice on it’s opening weekend for the 2023 season. The new chef is amazing! The mussels appetizer was probably my favorite with a perfect balance of just enough heat to keep me (a chilli fan) entertained, without overwhelming my wife’s more sensitive tastebuds. She thought it was pretty outstanding, too, but the Baked Alaska Sorbet dessert might have been her favorite. Both the appetizer and dessert were in sufficient quantities to be shared happily between the two of us. The mains were excellent, too, and we highlight recommend the beef, the local sablefish and the Mango Cauliflower Fried Rice. The service was friendly and professional, the facilities pristine and the setting… well, they built a resort here for reason!! If you’re planning on having a drink and are not staying at the resort, do plan ahead for a ride home, though. Highly recommended, and a highlight of our trip!

We checked in late and got down to the restaurant right before closing. The staff were welcoming and accommodated us anyway. The restaurant was very nice and clean. Our table had an amazing view of the sheltered Cove we were in. Our server was very nice and made some great suggestions for us. I tried the red curried muscles. They were phenomenal! Then, I moved onto the seafood pasta dish. Wow! The portions were large, the seafood was cooked perfectly. The chef and staff did an amazing job. We'll definitely be going back. ?P.S. I apologize for not taking photos. The food was too good, and I was distracted...

We dined at the restaurant for two nights on it’s opening weekend. The setting is beautiful, the facilities superb (although with a maximum capacity of 35 guests, you would be advised to book ahead) and the service friendly and professional. But we were particularly delighted by the food! The standout was probably the mussels appetizer, where the chef created the most amazing broth that we’ve ever had in a mussels dish. There was just enough heat to keep me (a chilli fan) entertained, but not overpower my wife’s more sensitive tastebuds. He said that it might have been a touch of miso that he added? But really, it was the whole package. In close contention was the Baked Alaska Sorbet dessert… the no-flour brownie base was excellent. Both of these dishes were large enough to be happily shared between the two of us. Our main courses were similarly well-prepared and presented. I think the beef was my favorite, but the Mango Cauliflower Fried Rice and Local Bronzed Sablefish were pretty exceptional, too. If you’re planning to have a couple drinks with dinner, do consider arranging a safe ride home… or perhaps plan ahead and stay at the resort!

Repeat customer, service is 10/10, view is 10/10, food is 10/10, only feedback is that I wish the menu would change more often and perhaps new/different options monthly! Either way, have visited the lagoon restaurant at least a dozen times and it never disappoints.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent first visit to Lagoon. We thought the ambience, service and food were all first class. The price to quality ratio was very fair. All too often it seems that higher menu prices translate to smaller portions, but not at Painted Boat. All three courses (mussels, rack of lamb, profiteroles) were easily large enough for two to share. The rack had five cutlets!Service was warm and professional. The servers worked as a team and added value to the experience rather than just taking orders and delivering plates. One minor note would be only three red wines by the glass, and none were full bodied styles appropriate for the lamb and beef entrees. But the servers had excellent knowledge of the available choices and the stemware and general wine service were fine.We arrived by boat and the resort appeared to have plenty of dock space for short stays like ours, especially considering it was a busy summer Saturday night. Will definitely visit again in the future
