Highly recommend if you're in the area, we ate here a couple times as we were staying just down the road. The staff was super friendly, the place is down to earth and feels like you're just eating in your grandma's kitchen. And the food tastes like your grandma just made it!

Don't bother. Food was overpriced and took forever. Meal took almost an hour to be served - for chicken fingers, and 2 sandwiches. The lone waitresses was doing her best but the food took forever and was not worth it. Salmon sandwich was about what you'd get at a gas station. Our 3 meals and a couple of non alcoholic drinks cost over $60 and was not worth it.

We arrived with 3 seniors, 2 teens, 1 kid and 2 adults. The service was the most friendly we've experienced in years. The food was amazing. All three kids licked their plates clean. We are staying for a couple days in the area and the all of us are planning to come back everday.

Cute little diner, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. The diner is run by Krystle, who is super kind and welcoming, the food is good, big portions but small prices. All in all totally recommend!

Came for breakfast on the recommendation from the Crazy Creek resort. No greeting upon entering and told when we asked that we could sit wherever we liked. Waited around 5 min and then had to search out the menus ourselves. Although obviously a local favourite it was very cluttered and messy inside, disorganized with random items as well as supplies piled up in customer areas. Not clean. Question if it actually meets health and safety certification. Although our server was very cheerful and pleasant, we waited over an hour for mediocre eggs, pancakes and burned bacon. Unacceptable. Definitely give it a miss. If travelling east, go to Revelstoke instead; if west, eat in Sicamous or Salmon Arm.

Great food. Pretty great options for vegetarians as well. Iโ€™m surprised to see what they have.

Amazing home cooked food in an independent cafe between Salmon Arm and Revelstoke. I've stopped in the last 3 times travelling through, and if you too, you'll be glad you did.

Oh, and the prices will put a smile on your face as well

Did you know Malakwa means "๐‘š๐‘œ๐‘ ๐‘ž๐‘ข๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘œ" in the Indigenous Shuswap language? ๐ŸฆŸ Neither did I, until my girlfriend and I stopped in to the Malakwa Cafe for lunch and got to chatting with our welcoming hosts. I assure you, thereโ€™s nothing pesky about this hidden gem of an eatery!๐Ÿ’Ž Step inside, and youโ€™ll immediately notice the teapots. ๐—ฆ๐—ข. ๐— ๐—”๐—ก๐—ฌ. ๐—ง๐—˜๐—”๐—ฃ๐—ข๐—ง๐—ฆ. ๐Ÿซ– In every shape and sizeโ€”big ones, tiny ones, fancy ones, quirky ones. Itโ€™s like a teapot museum in there, adding to the charm of this cozy spot! Now, letโ€™s talk foodโ€ฆ ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ’› The grilled ham and cheese? Absolute GOLD. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿฅช Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and satisfying. And the fries? Homemade. Delicious. Worth fighting your lunch date for. In this economy?! Malakwa Cafe is out here keeping good food affordable. ๐Ÿ™Œ So if you're passing through, stop in, soak up the charm, count the teapots, and enjoy some truly amazing food.
