Today was my first time at this place in over a decade, I almost wish I hadn’t as it is so good! I had ordered the trio fish combo, it was stellar!! Now I don’t think I can drive past the place without stopping in to try something else, it taste fresher than most places next to the ocean.. Doris was amazing, engaging and polite and very informative, I even had a great cup of fresh brewed coffee as well..

After a series of bad restos in MR, my partner and I were pleased to discover Austin Fish and Chips! And we were very surprised to find clam strips on the menu! I ordered the clam strip combo with salmon.

The clam strips were smaller, but not chewy. The battered salmon was perfect, not oily at all. Chips (fries) were on point too. Even their coleslaw was good.

Service was friendly, we felt welcome and not rushed.

Note that there are now comfortable seats inside (not the wooden ones pictured on Google), another pleasant surprise!

Sodas were served in unopened cans, and 1 refill was permitted. All for $2.50! Great price.

We will definitely be back!

Calamari that we ordered wasn’t crispy enough it was half soggy. The crisp was reasonable for 1150 per order appetizer style or portion amount was appetizer.

I visit Ridge regularly all the way from London in the UK and was missing a taste of home so gave this place a try after seeing so many good reviews. I ordered delivery and it arrived with a lovely note and loaaaads of condiments! The fish is very fresh and light yet crispy, felt pretty close to home! The fries are like a cross between English chips and french fries but they're really tasty! The tartare sauce is the best I've EVER had! Definitely filled that British shaped food hole in my stomach and I'll be coming back to dine in when I'm back in June!! Honestly, this is my joint favourite place with my local London chippy. 😍

Came in yesterday for take out it was great fish was fresh and fries were well cooked.Marie at the front was so helpful and polite will come back definitely!

We have walked by many times and finally decided to try for dinner. We did takeout and it was well packed - and stayed hot and crispy. It came wrapped in paper with plenty of malt vinegar and ketchup, and it was so good! The batter was nice and light and crispy and the fries were perfect. We will definitely be back.

Update: we have been back a few times and definitely have the coleslaw!

If you like dirty oil tasting fries, with stale defrosted fish then this is the place for you.

Best fish and chips in maple Ridge!

Got the 6 piece family meal..The batter is extremely light and the fries are super crispy and a large portion and is packaged very nicely..will definitely be back since my daughter in law works next door at saveon..its convenient eventhough we live in surrey we are in maple ridge alot

Fantastic fish & chips! Our family really enjoys the cod & chips. The batter is light and crispy and the hand cut chips are excellent. By far, this is the best fish and chips around! We have never had a meal here that wasn't perfect. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going here; If you don't, you're really missing out.
