Big Red's Poutine

Got the chicken strip poutine. The chicken strips were horrible quality and tasted bad. The gravy had 0 flavor and was not hot enough. The fries were bomb tho! EDIT- I see some are saying the chicken strip poutine is 12$?! we paid 17$!!!!!

Unfortunately, the new recipe for the gravy is not good. We used to travel far and wide to get Big Reds,
Now the portion was half the size and the gravy was weak and no longer authentic poutine gravy. Such a shame. We won't return.

Loved the chicken stripes I ordered at the PNE my friend ordered the classic poutine and he also enjoyed it. I'll definitely come back for more!

Got the classic poutine the other day at the luminary festival in North Delta from this truck and I was very disappointed. Gravy tasted old and It was very small for what it cost. The classic poutine was $13 and all I have to say was it was super small. Such a rip off. You could get TWO big and very filling poutines at costco for the price of what big reds costed. I 100% wouldn't recommend getting it ever again. Waste of money and time.

We tried the Chicken Strips Poutine at the PNE, and it was the best poutine I have ever had! The gravy was hot and flavorful, the chicken and fries were crispy. They had a lineup, but the wait time wasn't too long. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend giving their poutine a try when you get a chance - you won't be disappointed!

I ordered the chicken strips poutine. It came with only a few pieces of chicken. The cheese curds were cold and unmelted. Only decent part was the fries that were hot and crispy. I would not recommend this place. Overpriced and terrible quality.

Recently tried them at the PNE fair. It was beyond disappointing. I don't know how one can manage ruining such an easy dish, but it was honestly the worst poutine I've had. The fries were undercooked, crunchy (but not in the way you'd hope), and cold middles. The gravy was SO sad. It was the bland-est gravy I've ever had. There was no flavour. The cheese curds were good, they obviously were store bought. I am NOT one to normally complain, but if the lineup wasn't so long I 100% would have returned it. For $13+ I would have expected something atleast edible. I tossed it out after 3 bites, my friends who tried it also urged me to return it.
Wouldn't return again.

Had their poutine at the PNE and can’t say I’ve ever been more disappointed in a poutine… it was cold and the cheese curds were just not it. Also pepper in the gravy? Really?? Yikes.

We tried Big Red's at the Abbotsford Airshow. Loved their Beef Chicken Poutine. In fairness, I like the texture, crisp not soggy.

HOWEVER, the sauce quantity was not enough to cover the entire box of fries, didn't reach the middle and bottom. Could you please be generous with the gravy from now on?
I would definitely try again.

If you are looking for an authentic high-quality poutine, this is what you need. They deserve number 4 best poutine in canada award.

I recently attended a event with this food truck and I was pleased to see it. The food was great, I personally don't love the sweet fries though they are authentic Quebecian, which is the only reason for my 4 star food review. The service was good no complaints. Overall I would come back next time.
