Delicious food and good service. The cornbread is one of the best I’ve ever had and the house salad even as a side is very well made and much better than the average salad you get elsewhere. Prices are very reasonable, large selection of beers and good range of food options. Will definitely be back.

Interesting that I come to review this place in 2024... not remembering I'd previously reviewed and go figure! I'd already given them a one star review. If I recall correctly, we'd had horrible service though great food.Today, great food, great service but they allow smoking. I was appalled to smell smoke while eating my dinner. Totally gross and against the law. It was something I'd never even considered I'd end up facing.Kid-friendliness: Not at all. There's patrons smoking.

I have to say we usually love the Billy miner so I’m sad to be writing this review.I feel like the last few visits the service has gone downhill. This time I just came to pick up a takeout order of two burgers which I could see was ready when I came in.I went to the bar like I normally do to pay and the waitress was busy making drinks. But then two waitresses came and waited for their drinks to be made (one of which actually asked me to step out of the way) neither of which asked if I needed help. Finally when the bartender was finished about 10 minutes later she asked if I was here for takeout and one of the other two waitresses offered to grab it for me since it was readyWhen I got home with the food it was also a super let down. I first noticed there was barely any fries in the box and upon the first bite of the burger we both noticed they were super dry and tough. After a few bites I started to notice the beef had a weird flavour and when I mentioned it to my partner he said he was just noticing the same thing, so for $40 dollars we had a few bites of a gross burger and a couple of cold friesReally hoping I didn’t just give myself food poisoning

Terrible service. Unattentive staff. Can't comment on the food because we were never served food or drinks. Waited 25 mins and weren't even acknowledged .. we then got up and left. Seemingly still unnoticed.? Not my job to get your attention. These are the same servers who expect tips?? ??? Shame. Went to the Witch. Served immediately.

I can not actually give any stars as it took 15 minutes before we were even one waitress brought us some menus and dropped them on the table and said the other waitress will be here in a minute. Five minutes later we decided that we would go elsewhere as nobody came back to take our order. I’ve read good reviews, but sadly we won’t know as we don’t come out that way very often. Utes little place. Sadly not being helped ruined it for us.

After waiting an extended period of time for my $18 burger I was hungry and excited to dig in however I was unpleasantly surprised when i bit into it and the burger was severely over cooked and bone dry to the point that when I squeezed the patty I couldn’t force a drop of juice out; It was like trying to eat a hockey puck I didn’t take another bite but was hoping the hot wings would save the meal. They did not. They were very overcooked, rubbery and dry; not to mention mostly flavourless due to the lack of sauce. All in all one of the worst meals I’ve had in my life and it only cost $60 plus a tip ? I will not be returning… at least the beer was good

The Billy Miner is a local historic landmark with lots of character. We went for a laye lunch so I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The waitress was friendly and the food came quickly and was nice and hot. The burger was a classic home made style and was very tasty. Definately the best burger in Maple Ridge.

Lots of good varieties of French fry appies, and almost a meal in themselves. Very old rustic building. There's a West Coast Express train station between the pub and the Fraser River, so it has a bit of a 'back street commercial' vibe to it. Funky place for a beer and a burger.
