I love the black sheep go o there with friends offen
At one point I had the best caesar salad I've ever had here but it hasn't measured up over the past two visits. Decent pub burger and the beer is cold.

Service was alright, food was decent, asked for no tomatoes or mushrooms and came with both. Also had minimum of day old lettuce on burger that was brown. Gave a paltry discount
Friendly service good food
We had a very disappointing experience. We waited about 30 minutes just for the appetizer, which is simply unacceptable. Then the main food arrived almost immediately after the appetizer, which made the timing even worse. The beef ribs were the worst I have ever had. They were extremely chewy and seemed undercooked. The texture was so tough that I could barely swallow them. The BBQ sauce was very sour and lacked the sweetness you would normally expect, which made the dish even less enjoyable. The burger also had a strange aftertaste, which was quite unpleasant. After we complained, the waiter offered $5 off our total bill of $66, which unfortunately did not feel like an adequate response considering the quality of the food and the long wait. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience.
Love this pub

Specific to my order which was a cajun chicken burger with the daily soup. Chicken burger was nothing to write home about. The portion of soup was somewhat of a joke. Maybe 3 spoonfuls of cream of mushroom soup and very salty.

I like their daily specials, beer is fantastic, service is good, atmosphere is decent but the food is hit or miss.... it's ether perfect or garbage depending on staff and how busy when you order......dinner for 2 cost $100 every time.....plus tip

This place was pretty fun! I didn't even know about it and went for the first time a couple weeks ago, I couldn't believe how busy it was for the middle of the day. Very nice atmosphere, service and food!

We ordered chicken wings with beer. The food was very stale. There was dead blood in the chicken wings. We couldn't eat all the wings at all.

The waitress had no personality. She didn’t interact with us at all. Felt like she wanted to be somewhere else. Food was ok. I’d go somewhere else next time.

Would be nice if they allowed dinner reservations on Saturdays past 5 for bigger groups to have the chance to enjoy everything together.

Great menu with a very wide range of choice, from appies to full entrees. The staff are very pleasant and efficient. Service is always timely, even when it is busy. It's unsurprising how popular this place is.

I went for a drive to cool off the other night and found myself at the Black Sheep Pub. I'd been there five or six times before, for breakfast at least once, lunch once or twice, and dinner a few times. In all of those cases, I was disappointed and surprised that this place has such a good reputation. I've been ignored and had poor food including tough steak and overdone salmon (twice each) and a wretched omelette with toast that was still bread. Once my boyfriend bit into a piece of a broken plate that was in his burger meat. When I've complained, they've been good about comping the meals (only complained twice).
But I thought I'd just pop in for a cool drink and couldn't go too far wrong. I'm happy to report that my server Kim was excellent, greeting me promptly at the bar with a friendly smile, which goes a long way in my world. After a glass of wine, I decided to try an appie. She helped me decide between the spinach and artichoke dip and the stuffed mushroom caps by determining how hungry I was as the dip comes with a lot of chips.
I chose the mushroom caps which were delicious, served steaming hot, tasty and covered with baked cheese. I'm so happy to have finally had a great experience here and would have given it five stars except for the other bad experiences that I didn't review at the time.
I also enjoyed the music video screen matching the background music. I think every bar should have at least one screen with something other than sports even if it's a sports bar because some patrons go for the bar, not the sports and for me, music vids is a great choice.
Edit Oct. 29/25 - I had a craving for Chinese food tonight and after considering the mostly three star options in Maple Ridge, decided to try the sweet and sour chicken served with chow mein at the Black sheep. The parking lot was almost full when I arrived around 7:30 PM but I found a spot on the street. I assumed it was so busy due to the $16 steak special but realized there was a game on.
Anyway, just want to say I had another great meal served by Hannah who was totally on her game in spite of the busy night. The food was delicious, hot and served promptly. Yes, it meant I had to drive but was worth it. Will keep it in mind as a good option from now on.
