Bruce’s Country Market

Stopped in as usual to grab snacks for my day and when I ordered my first coffee ever, I was informed they do not have dairy alternatives for people with dairy allergies. When I explained I was allergic to Diary I was told to just get my coffee black, so I did but dumped it out cause it tasted disgusting. When I mentioned emailing the store, I was told not to bother because not many people ask for it. Very poor customer service in my opinion. Will stop supporting this small business if this is how they care.s

Came here for lunch yesterday and got the chicken strip combo. I doubt very much it was food safe temperature was barely warm and I got there at 12:15 pm was soggy I swear they used shake and bake coating 🤦‍♀️ wasn’t crispy mojo fries were soggy and stuck together.
I have eaten here a few times over the years and seems the quality gets worse and worse.
Everything is way over priced!!!!

I have tried a lunch special at noon twice and both times the food tasted a bit dry (fried chicken) or seemed like it had been sitting there for a while and barely warm. (Chicken strips) But the service is good 👍.
Several items in the store are also grossly overpriced! $4 for a tall can of ice tea?!?!?

We have been going to Bruce's for over 20 years for breakfasts, soups, salads, sandwiches 🥪 treats and gifts. Its a staple in Maple Ridge BC. They are a business that cares and they have passion for what they do. Their salmon production is top notch! Support this awesome biz.

Worth a stop just to explore. The fresh fish is amazing, especially the sockeye salmon, but there is always a great selection of other fish. We enjoy the salmon burgers and the shrimp stuffed salmon because both are delicious and quick ways to make a healthy supper. I also enjoy having lunch there, or taking lunch with me. My favourite is the chicken salad sandwich.

The Greek salad is absolutely terrible though. So much garlic that you think it is a mistake, but it’s their special way. It is incredibly spicy as a result of the garlic. There’s not even supposed to be garlic in Greek salad!

Back to the positive, they have a great selection of unique foods, including spices and sauces. The vegetables are not the most inexpensive around, but they are always fresh and it’s convenient to buy things all at once. A limited selection of deli meats, but again, good products.

They have fantastic cakes and desserts. I love their sticky toffee pudding.

Another great item here is their chili, both the meat chilli and the vegetarian version are great to take home for supper.

Such a cute spot, can’t wait to come back and buy some things!

Best smoked salmon and seafood pricing in the Fraser valley. Whenever I drive through maple ridge I make a point to stop in and shop.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. We purchased salmon stuffed with shrimp for supper and it was delicious! We couldn’t leave without some deserts as well. Trust me, get the cheese cake.

Great place for fresh seafood. They even have a yummy toasted shrimp sandwich with avocado. Excellent selection of smoked salmon and if you are in need of your spot prawn fix, this is the place to go.

Very good grocery store with amazing sandwiches 🙂

Pathetic sandwich counter service at around 6 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Girl in blue T-shirt couldn't even get my sandwich order right… there was no one ahead of me when I ordered a smoked salmon sandwich... and they made me a shrimp and avocado sandwich… I don't eat shrimp for Biblical reasons so why would I even order that???…That's an insult! A half a dozen people after me got their sandwiches ahead of me while I waited and waited. I approached the counter twice and the girl who took my order did not even take responsibility for her mistake - I saw the order slip and she had written down the wrong code for the sandwich when I clearly said "smoked salmon sandwich"! I waited nearly 20 minutes for the correct order while the shrimp and avocado sandwich I did NOT order sat on the counter! I had pretty much lost my appetite in disgust by the time they made the correct sandwich and to add insult to injury, the IDIOT who took my order had to cheek to say "have a good night" to me when I left, without even acknowledging her mistake and no apology from her! Zero accountability from staff and management when I expressed my dissatisfaction privately on Messenger while I was trying to eat the sandwich in the patio dining room, led me to give them a negative review on Facebook and now on Google! Management response on Messenger was hardly adequate, NOT at all happy or impressed! 👎👎👎👎👎

i love the selection in here, but every time i come in here none of the staff give any acknowledgment no Hello or anything
just went in and two girls at the front were just chatting didn’t even look to say hi

Good quality..Clean store,.fresh food and produce. Was able to get a side salmon fillet

Fresh and tasty sandwiches everytime. Yummy!
