I took my two Japanese students for lunch today and they were in pancake heaven. I’ve been going to De Dutch for 30 years and have never bern disappointed.

Food is so so. Diced fried potatoes were too greasy without crispy texture. Ham is also too greasy and salty... but in total, not terrible.

Food was average, service was great. I would go back to at least try something else. Fresh squeezed OJ was definitely a great idea!

We were at the Maple Ridge location and we had the friendliest staff. They even brought water for my dog who was waiting outside. The panakeoks were amazing! We will be back
over $8 for a small glass of orange juice and 28 for one breakfast with over cooked eggs I can see why the place was empty at 9:30 in the morning

Always great food and service!!!!
I will start out saying that the server we had was absolutely lovely. It was the food that got me. It was almost $30 for a mediocre (at best) omelette. Seriously not worth it.
Have been going for Dutch pannekoeks for decades and I have never had a bad experience! Flavor is consistent throughout the franchise ❤️
We ordered to go and we ordered the breakfast ones, we assume you would get ketchup, maple syrup and utensils. Little did you know we didnt get any of those, very disappointed

I used to love De Dutch. But now it's just disappointing. Food still tastes good but the portions..... Not worth your money at all. Shrinkflation has hit these guys HARD. the sausages are physically smaller, the hash brown portion is laughable, and the fruit I got with my panekok was just sad. Prices keep going up and amounts of food going down. Unfortunately this place is no longer worth it. Sad.
Pleasant surprise! They were short staffed, yet our waitress Emma gave us the best service. She was very energetic, efficient and enthusiastic, going the extra mile with a smile to make our visit memorable. The food was fantastic.
I was there not too long with my 3 kids for breakfast, we were left unattended for like 10minutes, the staffs were passing by without acknowledging us, I understand that you might be busy, but cleaning the tables and letting us know that you will be with us shortly would help, no hello, no acknowledgement. I had to leave when my daughter noticed we were neglected and went somewhere else with great service.
So shameful

Went to DeDutch this past weekend as a party of four. Two of which were family members from out of town that we recommended this spot to, because usually it’s good.
However, this trip left us feeling disappointed.
Upon entering the restaurant, there was no hostess around so we waited for about 10 minutes until someone noticed and we got seated. We were given menus but not approached by our waitress for another 10 minutes. We kept it simple— ice waters, a coffee, a juice and a hot chocolate without whipped cream. Again, we waited an additional 10 minutes, before the waitress came back missing a majority of the order. The waters were missing and the hot chocolate contained whipped cream— which was asked not to be put on. The waitress instead of simply saying I made a mistake, just proceeded to say we spoke incorrectly and she was just following what was asked.
Another few minutes, waters came out and so did the next hot chocolate, by a different waitress. The hot chocolate was terrible— hardly any actual chocolate in it and mostly lukewarm water. Had to flag down our waitress who seemed to be avoiding our table, and again didn’t address the mistake, just proceeded to call it ‘odd’. So, gave up on that beverage and ordered another different one.
Food came out and was decent— though not worth the price. The bacon was poorly cooked and hardly edible, the potatoes were bland, and the coffee wasn’t great.
All in all, the lesson learned from this would be to pay more attention to your customers, specially when an allergen is mentioned, and apologize for any mistakes made instead of making it a big deal.
Would think twice about coming back to this particular DeDutch. ?
