First time going and what a great experience! The most friendly genuine welcoming staff! The menu had so many items that sounded incredible! It’s always a good sign when you can’t decide because everything sounds so good!
I had the farmers skillet which was very good and a huge portion! My husband had the smoked brisket sandwich with the soup of the day ,French onion soup! We were both really impressed and will definitely be back! I ended up taking some home! The homemade hot sauce is a must!👍

Humble Roots Café & Deli is not a place you stumble upon by accident. It sits where you must intend to go—tucked away, a little off the beaten path, quietly confident that those who know, know. I’ve been making that intentional trip for years, returning again and again without ever stopping to put my admiration into words. This is my first review, long overdue.
Humble Roots is not a place that shouts. It murmurs. It hums. It knows exactly what it is. The room carries a humble, lived-in warmth—the kind of place where shoulders drop, conversations soften, and time loosens its grip. You don’t rush here. You settle in.
I ordered the Benny, a noble construction of balance and comfort, elevated by their cauli-holli sauce—a quietly brilliant variation that adds depth, warmth, and just enough intrigue to remind you someone back there is thinking. It’s familiar, yet better than expected. Alongside it came the turkey split pea soup—a bowl of quiet heroism. Earthy, rich, and deeply reassuring, it tasted like something remembered rather than invented. The kind of soup that doesn’t just warm your hands, but settles you. It warmed my soul. Truly.
The service was exactly right: friendly without performance, attentive without intrusion. The staff treat you less like a customer and more like a regular—whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.
Humble Roots doesn’t chase trends. It doesn’t need to. It has roots—real ones. And after all these years, I can finally say what I should have said long ago: this place is a small, steady gift to Maple Ridge.

I cant stop raving about this gem. The food is hearty and delicious, generous servings that will leave you happily satisfied. Whats more the wonderful atmosphere. As soon as youre in the door the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming . Just all around a fantastic stop. Brimming with lively atmosphere and fantastic food. I was too happy eating to take any pictures but it was beautifully served. And that hedgehog latte was just great.
