Never come to this atrocious establishment. Their disgraceful regard for guests was apparent throughout our dining experience. As a party of 6 we had to wait an hour and 40 minutes for some diabolical abolished food. They uphold a distasteful, disrespectful, and entitled environment. Our waiter was outright rude, hostile, and condescending not giving us updates on food and avoiding us because of our shared distasteful ness for an outright horrible manger restaurant. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR NIGHT AWAY FOR SHITTY FOOD‼‼

Overall sub-par experience, starting with the server who said a total of 5 words. We sat there waiting for her to take our order for a long time, and ended up getting our food over an hour later. The food tasted ok/good, but was not worth the price tag. Not much concern or menu info regarding allergies either. It was also very loud, with a great live band. almost too loud to talk, but it was a Friday night so I get it. The server really brought it all down and made the experience super weird. Didn't even get her name.

This place is sooo disappointing because it has so much potential being right on the water and in a city that NEEDS more good restaurants. Service is subpar. Menu is boring and overpriced. We live close by and have given this place many chances. It just never gets better, only worse over the last 16 years in fact. I wish a new owner would take over and revive this place.

The server was lovely, but I am sorry the food is bad, cabbage big un-eatable hunks on the cod burger and the fish tacos and to much mayo sauce, tiny little pieces of fish on the tacos that you could not taste at all! The salad my Son had looked good but I couldn't tell you if it was or not. And the bill, was almost $175.00,had no alcohol, just coffee and ice teas.

Don't let the harsh exterior fool you! The interior is lovely, and this is by far THE BEST tasting brunch I have had in perhaps a decade, maybe more. Service is efficient & friendly, atmosphere is impeccable with live music at the perfect volume. And the view over the river can't be beat. I just found my new favourite spot!!!!

My husband + I went for dinner with my in-laws at Kingfisher Pub this weekend. The food is wonderful, though dishes seem quite expensive (which I guess is a reflection of all costs in BC skyrocketing these days ?‍? but I digress.)As I said, the food was delicious. I started with the butternut squash soup (which needed just a touch more salt for my palette) and then had the chicken + brie sandwich, which was delicious ? I also enjoyed a few Moscow Mules; while the first was very watered down, I asked for "easy ice" on the next 2 and they were much better. My husband is Celiac, and our server was very helpful + attentive to that dietary restriction, but there was a hiccup at dessert. We asked if the orange chocolate mousse was/could be made GF, and the server told us it could. Yet when the plate was brought out, I was certain there was a cookie crumble all over it. I asked 2 servers to confirm (the answer of the first server who brought us the dish just didn't make sense to me), and finally our primary server realized + confirmed the mistake.Thankfully, I had stopped my husband from eating any of the dessert until we could determine what the crumble was. The manager came out to personally apologize and express her relief that my husband hadn't eaten any gluten, and went so far as to comp not only our dessert (which I enjoyed, although my husband couldn't) but also the first round of drinks for our party.I would like to hope that this near-miss incident encourages a staff-wide review of ingredients + practices for all dishes just to ensure that someone less diligent isn't accidentally poisoned in future. The response + accountability demonstrated by the manager means that we will be happy to go back and try again, hopefully with zero issues next time ?Vegetarian options: Some good optionsDietary restrictions: Only a couple of GF options; perhaps stick to items specifically marked as GF in order to avoid any potential issues, and definitely communicate if you are Celiac to ensure extra precautions are taken.

first time to this pub and grill, very friendly staff and well dressed, nice layout inside and out, must be nice views in summer on patio, positive and friendly ambiance, not too loud or noisy can converse normally, nice menu choices and wine , service had couple hiccups but they were rectified immediately so meal was going great until a large table was set beside us with kids under 6, poss party and another behind us with kids also. thought if a pub served liquor minors werent allowed? so the quiet adult time went away. will be back hopefully in better weather and without the kids around.

I'm updating my previous review and adding some stars after my experience at the "Fish" tonight. (Mar. 8/24)After pre-perusing the menu online, I'd decided on the Arctic Char (a fish dish well-suited to my cholesterol count) that was accompanied by sun choke, which I had to google, and which is a root vegetable that looks like ginger but has a sweet, mild, nutty taste. It sounded like a great alternative to potato, which I can't eat anymore due to my arthritis (I know, kill me now!).When I arrived, the place was packed, being a Friday night (reservations recommended), but I was happily seated at the end of the bar in full view of the delightful bluesy band Poor Boy Trio.I asked the manager Greg, who knowledgeably heads the Wine Club dinners there what would pair well with the char. He suggested the pinot noir which was bang on.The sun choke came in three forms, as a potato might, except for the sauce - similar to a hash brown, crispy chip, and the secret sauce. Greg told me they grow it onsite. The portion size of the char, which was cooked perfectly (almost, sorry, but it was advertised as crispy skin, which wasn't quite the case until the last corner bite but still delicious) was satisfying. The tasty meal, wine, and a few happy encounters with friends and acquaintances provided a wonderful evening.I also want to mention that the service from the kitchen seems to have improved remarkably and my meal arrived much sooner than expected.Overall, great evening. Thanks to all staff!

I must say...we went to kingfisher all the time years ago. We went to king fisher about 3 years ago and had the worst meal and worst service ever and have not been back since last night. We were told that the chef was changed and the food was amazing. We gave you a try again. The service was excellent and the meal was fabulous again. We will be back. Thanks

My husband and I were at Kingfisher on Valentines Day. The atmosphere is always nice there.but the waitress was all over the map. It wasn’t busy. We were there without reservations at 6:30 and didn’t have to wait for a table. There was a set menu that night with a few Ala carte optionsI asked the waitress if either of the desserts could be substituted from the set menu as I had dietary restrictions with both ( one had chocolate and the other had hazelnuts). I also asked if the wine pairing menu could swap the red for either white or rose as I can’t have red wine either. After speaking with the kitchen she came back and said no to both questionsI asked for a glass of house white and asked what it was. She said she had to go check in the kitchenWhen she returned she said Chaberton. I asked what blend? She said she had to check with the kitchenShe came back and said Merlot, cab sav, and I stopped her there saying those were reds…remember I can’t have red wine. She said, it’s so hard memorizing the new menu for tonight and all and it’s so busy ( there were empty tables). She came back with the right information and I ordered it. We ordered Ala carte and had the half chicken and the pork tenderloin. Both tasty, but my husband ended up with a inch long sliver in his mouth from one of the skewers in the tenderloinWhen the waitress asked how the meal was, we showed her, and she said she’d show the kitchen, when she came back, she said yeah, it’s just a piece off the skewer, and while walking away said you can order anything else and I’ll get it to you for freeWe finished our meal, she came back and asked if we wanted dessert. I reminded her that I couldn’t have either. I asked if there was any substitute available she went to the kitchen, came back and said I could have the profiteroles to which I reminded her that I can’t have hazelnuts…she said well they can just leave them off. For nut allergies this is a concern for cross contamination I was an unfortunate event that she didn’t ask anyone else ( chef or manager) to come speak with us, neither was anything compt on the bill

As always, we all had fabulous meals! Since we first discovered Kingfishers, every few months we come from Port Coquitlam and our friends come from Abbotsford to go for dinner here. We love it!

We reserved a specific table for a special brunch, but when we arrived they'd already seated someone else there. Not a great start. They did not have any dairy substitutes for coffee (What year is this? Who doesn't at least have almond milk?) and, while their menu indicated they had allergy-friendly options, it was unclear and confusing. It wasn't very busy and there were several servers, but it took quite a while for our food to come and, when it did, the two of us who'd ordered eggs benny found it was cold. The eggs were poached perfectly but my smoked salmon was hard in places and I wonder if it was microwaved. I thought the prices were reasonable, but only if the food is worth it. Also, the music was cranked and we couldn't really have a conversation - a little too "clubby" for Sunday brunch. Our server was great and knew her stuff, but even she couldn't save this one.Dietary restrictions: Very limited.Wheelchair accessibility: They have an elevator.
