Shinobi Sushi Japanese Restaurant

Ordered a delivery, so this review is solely for the food. Ordered karaage, crazy roll and chirashi. Starting with good things, the portion of chirashi was very generous. A lot of varieties of sashimi on rice and personally liked some crunch of cucumber and takuan in the rice. But was not enjoyable overall. Karaage really isn't karaage, it was just tasteless flavourless chicken tenders, some of the sashimi for chirashi were very vinegary and I believe they use furikake on rice which was overpowering and totally ruining the balance of flavours. I ordered chirashi before and remember liking it so it's either I was starving then or something has changed. I didin't try crazy rolls so can't say much about it but either way I don't think we will go back.

One of the best sushi restaurant in Downtown Maple Ridge, BC. Most of the time it’s always busy. Reasonable menu prices and good menu options. Food portions are really good! Great tasting food and lovely food presentation. Super loved the microgreens garnish. Staff are warm, attentive and helpful. Good restaurant ambiance. Great location as well. Highly recommended!

We were told this place is really good. Ordered take out. Wait was really long. Food was terrible. The Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Short Rib & Beef bowl came with overload of bean sprouts & one golf ball sized undercooked carrot & one floret of broccoli. You get about 1/2 of one chicken breast. Food was bland and expensive for what you get. We will never go here again.
