We've gone to Shinobi for years. The food and the service has always been top notch. We've tried other Japanese restaurants in Maple Ridge over time and Shinobi definitely has the best sushi and rolls in town (and anywhere) for a long time. Another fantastic lunch there today. Always fresh. The best california roll and tempura. We always compare anything anywhere else to Shinobi. Thank you for amazing food for years.

My family has been getting sushi from them every friday for last 2 and a half years. Truly amazing no matter if you are dining in or take out, do try volcano roll if you are a fan of something a bit more spicy.

Pleasantly surprised to discover Shinobi Sushi. Don’t usually venture into maple ridge but today I was in the area and walked by this great restaurant. Food was delicious, very well presented and the service was excellent.

Love this little gem. Had the lunch special for 12 bucks and it was huge. Soup, spring roll, beef teriyaki on veggies, salad, rice, and a California roll! Enjoyed tea with my meal and this has turned out to be the cheapest meal I've eaten in 3 years!!! Service is excellent and fast too. Had gyoza and tempura on a prior visit and they were large portions for a very fair price.

I am giving this restaurant 1 star because of the portion size. Feels like you are getting scammed when you payed 105$ for a family boat for them to give you half a chicken breast on top of cheap veggies.It’s fine won’t be coming back. Everyone is struggling with inflation it sucks when small shops take advantage of the situation.
Shinobi is a place I had really been looking forward to and while I wasn't disappointed per say, it just wasn't as good as the sushi places I like in Coquitlam, Burnaby, or Vancouver.The staff is very friendly but not overly attentive (they seemed to be extremely busy running around) so I wouldn't knock them too much for that. But I did absolutely feel like their take-out orders took up way more attention and focus than the dine-in customers. They must have made 30-40 take out orders while we were there, which again, is fine - Make your money.Now to the sushi itself:The rolls were average in my opinion. Like a lot of places, the rolls were saucy and sweet which I'm not interested in. The hand pressed rolls were good and the sashimi was high quality and the thing I enjoyed the most.Its not bad at all - in fact it's probably the best sushi in maple Ridge, for what thats worth.I will reiterate: the staff was extremely friendly and helpful - just seemed to be overwhelmed by the mass of take-out orders while trying to serve a dining room at the same time.Parking: The Wal-Mart parking lot across the street has plenty of free parking if the street is busy
