What a gem of a restaurant. The staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating, but the food is maple the best Thai food I’ve had in the lower mainland. They accommodate Gluten Free for many dishes.
10/10 Would recommend you try them out.

I personally do not like meaty food with sweet taste, so, everything I ordered was sweet! You get what I am trying to say. Rice was tasteless with no salt. Even curry sauce was sweet ...salad dressing was sweet, etc. I did not enjoy the food. But friendly atmosphere and service was great. I am not going to try this restaurant again, but if you are into sweet everything, you may like it. Also, it's a very small place and only 4 tables as far as I could count, so it's not a place for big parties.

This is the place to eat in Maple Ridge! I come here usually once a week - sometimes twice. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and even though you can't sit in and eat - the place is decorated with beautiful photos of trips to Thailand from the owners. It's a nice way of them sharing their passion for the culture, country and food.

Dishes were basically fine except really really sweet in a way that made them hard to eat much. Thai hot was indeed hot which is nice but lacked much else than sweetness. I liked the amount of vegetables in the green curry but the pad Thai seemed like not much else but noodles.

Was passing through Maple Ridge from Kelowna today and was starving for some Thai food. Looked online and seemed like this was the only Thai restaurant in the area, so I figured I’d stop for a big late lunch. I walk in and was immediately told its take out only, even though the place was empty and there were plenty of tables to dine in. Lost a potential return customer.

Smile Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in the Lower Mainland, let alone the Ridge-Meadows area. I have been coming here since they first opened, and it has been a pleasurable and diverse addition to the community.
Do yourself a favor - instead of grabbing takeout at one of the many non-authentic Chinese restaurants in Maple Ridge, try an actual authentic Thai alternative. The flavours are exotic and complex, and the staff are very friendly!
They no longer do dine-in, but don't let that shy you away. Some of the best foods are takeout only, and this is absolutely no exception!
