Was passing through Maple Ridge from Kelowna today and was starving for some Thai food. Looked online and seemed like this was the only Thai restaurant in the area, so I figured I’d stop for a big late lunch. I walk in and was immediately told its take out only, even though the place was empty and there were plenty of tables to dine in. Lost a potential return customer.

Terrible business sense.

The food is always top notch, best around by far. Recently moved away and still make the journey back to get the best Thai food

Smile Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in the Lower Mainland, let alone the Ridge-Meadows area. I have been coming here since they first opened, and it has been a pleasurable and diverse addition to the community.

Do yourself a favor - instead of grabbing takeout at one of the many non-authentic Chinese restaurants in Maple Ridge, try an actual authentic Thai alternative. The flavours are exotic and complex, and the staff are very friendly!

They no longer do dine-in, but don't let that shy you away. Some of the best foods are takeout only, and this is absolutely no exception!

Hands down best Thai food and customer service in Maple Ridge and surrounding areas. Never disappointed with the quality or price and the customer service, a family ran business goes a long way! The facility is always so clean and welcoming. Highly recommend supporting this business.

Food is good, service is friendly, and the restaurant seems clean.

I would advise caution if eating gluten free- I mentioned twice when ordering that I need my order GF, and confirmed that it was GF when I picked it up, but there was a spring roll in the container with my salad, so I couldn’t eat it. I ate the Pad Thai as it was in a different container, but the spring roll being included made me question if the Pad Thai had actually been made GF.

Wouldn’t hurt to ask when someone orders GF if they want the spring roll, because more than likely the answer would be no ??‍♀️

Not great. Really expensive, take out only, and the food was honestly underwhelming. I expected better based on reviews.

Worst thai food ever. I didn’t expected like this. They have thai chef even though it’s not good. I don’t say make exactly like authentic thai food but it’s not even near that taste. Red curry was just watery red spicy broth and spiced with only chilli powder they didn’t use thai red chilli. Thai food is all about 4 kind of flavor that is spicy, sour, sweet, and salt. The one I had was not thai food no taste just bland. I don’t know what it was. Next time I will try different that restaurant. 0/5. Plus no dining only take away.

I have never been so disappointed. I've heard for years how amazing this place is, so dropped by for my try of pad Thai. $20 for a large container of overcooked, sticky, starchy noodles that came out as a solid clump on the plate i dumped it on. There was ZERO FLAVOUR!! I asked for mild, does that mean none? This was I believe the most disgusting thing I have EVER tried.
The guy was friendly but other than that for goodness sake don't even TRY ??????

Worst Thai food I have ever had. Red Currey had no flavour no fresh bamboo shoots or fresh thai basil, super runny water down with coconut rice seemed it was day old and dry crunchy absolutly no coconut taste, TomYum soup again no flavour, Padthai was best of the bad even my 15 year old son thought it was not spicy and tasteless. Also cant dine in May 2024 because of covid? What? Arent we past that?

Tried this place twice, first time tried to dine in said they didnt do dine in since covid? Weird thought that that was over? Second time my son and I wanted take out so thought give it a try food was tasteless and very watery. Even the coconut rice tasted like it was day old rice crunchy and no flavour of coconut. Out of PadThai, Red Curry Chicken, coconut rice and Tom Young Soup, the Padthai was the best thing but still bland even for a 15 year old. The Red curry was super watery and no sign or taste of Bamboo shoots or Thai Basil and 3 small pieces of chicken costing $24 with the coconut rice. For flavourful $ food locally go to Everest 8848 or Pho Song if dont mind spending a bit more $$$ Ban Chok Dee.

Delicious food, and great vegan/vegetarian options! We regularly get takeout.

This spot kills it! Great food, they only do take out now not like when they opened but it works. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. And again the food is awesome. I highly recommend the Pad Thai with medium spice and shrimp or prawns.
