Everything about this place is top notch, it's cozy, comfortable and catered to your every need. The food is rich, luxurious, decadent and delicious. Thank God there's someone local bringing local to the locals. From farm to table at the table at the farm. Highly recommend. Food will never taste the same.

Everything from start to finish was such an amazing experience! Instead of bringing the farm to the table, the table is on the farm in the most exquisite way. The staff was so knowledgeable, kind, welcoming… The Chefs, Somalia, the pairing and elements added to each dish was a true experience. I highly recommend

Honestly one of, if not the best dining experience in the LM. The staff are amazing and the experimentation with the dishes delivered a sense of discovery not usually found here. Worth the trip to Whonnock!

It was just a perfect dinner. There menu is creative, and all the foods are beyond imagination. I just said "WOW" after my first bite. The server was what I expected from my old days. She made me laugh so much with positive&happy energy.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at.The food is Michelin star quality and each dish is meticulously executed to perfection. To say I was speechless is understatement.Instead of farm to table, they bring the tables to the farm! Ingredients are grown on their farm or locally sourced. The menu changes depending on what’s in season. We went for our anniversary on Sunday, even though it was raining the outside tent was warm and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary an unforgettable experience. Here are some photos from last night + the few other times we have been on sunny days. They have outdoor gazebos that are great for larger groups or date nights!

Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. It was also very nice to be able to purchase a bottle of wine to take home afterward.. We'll be back again in spring to check out the new offerings. Can't wait.

Amazing experience and meal! We did the tasting menu and wine pairing which was exceptional. Hearing the stories of how ingredients were picked right there on the farm was special. Locally sourced products otherwise and unique bottles of wine. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special! We went on a winter evening and the outside tent was warm and comfortable. I would go back in the daytime so I could see the surrounding farmland where the food came from.

I never give perfect reviews but this place earned the exception. Incredibly tasty and artistic plates served at tables just meters away from where the very ingredients are harvested. Great concept and a stunning dining experience you simply have to try.

This is an incredibly good restaurant. Fine dining doesn't have to be ridiculously expensive, and this is by far the finest dining restaurant in Maple Ridge, probabley in the lower mainland, especially for the price. If you THINK fine dining is about dressing up and fancy cutlery, then go spend your money add a mediocre Steakhouse elsewhere in Maple Ridge, or go to Gotham in Vancouver and spend a lot more for a good steak. However, if you KNOW fine dining is actually about the food and a unique atmosphere, get a reservation at the sunflower. You'll get a world-class steak for less than half the cost as Gotham paired with local vegetables and stuff you've probably never heard of.The atmosphere is a semi indoor farm setting, and if you pay attention you'll even see the staff run out to the Garden to get fresh cilantro for your meal. It's definitely nicer in warmer temperatures but even when the temperature gets below zero it doesn't get too cold although I like to wear a jacket in the fall or spring. The desserts, along with the rest of the food, will blow your mind and your taste buds.Honestly, I was a cook and chef for years and this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I can't recommended it enough.

What an amazing lunch, celebrating Lida Stuchlik-Ruffell’S birthday ! We went to the Sunflower Cafe in between Mission and Maple Ridge, the weather was perfect, the food was amazing and the company, fantastic. We did see a bear on the way there but I was too slow to get my camera out so we have created a rendition. I believe all 3 of us would highly recommend a visit there! We went for happy hour (1:30-3:00) and we can’t wait to try the tasting menu at dinner time ! The staff, setting and food were seriously INCREDIBLE !

The Sunflower Cafe is a hidden gem in the Fraser Valley. A must try if you want to experience the Farm to Table concept. Dining is outdoor under a covered area. Dress appropriately for the weather but the restaurant does offer customers a blanket, if need. We ordered the 5 course tasting menu for $80. Everything tasted so good. My favourite was the braised cabbage and mixed mushroom.

just drove up based on a google search, looking for a place to eat, and didn't realize that this was a very small and intimate dining area on the foothill of a working farm. we looked in and it does look very nicely appointed with gazebos you can be sat in, and covered, but open to air seating otherwise. will make reservations and come back to sample the wares.
