Been frequenting this restaurant for takout for many months. Recently ordered nigiri combo, among other things. The salmon and tuna nigiri had a very strong fishy smell to it. Fish isn’t supposed to smell. We ate salmon nigiri, but tuna was even worse… I took the time to actually bring the remainder of the combo back so they can smell it. There was california roll and tuna nigiri left. The host/cashier smelled it and told me it was fine and that they prepared it this morning. Raw sushi fish is NOT supposed to smell like the fish market. I am not sure if they have a professional sushi chef, and I doubt it (it is Maple Ridge after all). Anyway, he refunded me only the tuna nigiri, which was less than the tip we left for a takeout order and quite frankly, insulting. Especially after I took the time to bring it back. I don’t think that gaslighting repeat customers (with a big smile on your face) is good customer service, and for that reason we will not be back.

I absolutely love the ease of ordering here. Our team puts in an order every week online. We get a friendly hello. It is family owned and the mother and father do the sushi prep and the son manages the orders and payments.
The food consistency is perfect. The quality of salmon and tuna is exceptional.
I find that the prices are fair and sizing is consistently above average for sushi rolls.

Sushi rolls are small, the fish slices are tiny (could barely taste the salmon), you can't eat there. I don't recommend...

This is one of my favourite sushi restaurants in the entire Lower Mainland! They’re always friendly and their California Rolls taste more fresh than 99% of the Japanese restaurants out there. Every food I’ve ordered from there is great!
