La Trattoria is the BEST Italian food ever. The spicy marinara is incredible. The tasting platters are a culinary dive into Italy. Everything is done to Perfection. Henry is the Best Chef with awards dating back years as the Best Italian Restaurant. So Deserved. The service is impecable. Wonderful restaurant for special occasions.

Food was good, and server very friendly and efficient, but we waited over an hour for our food, and the restaurant was NOT busy.
Food is way over priced $37.50 for chicken parm and it was only 4 small pcs of chicken some cubed potatoes and a few vegetables. Very dissiapointing we will not be back sadly. The waitress was outstanding ?.

What a lovely spot. 3 of us showed up, no reservation, looking for a decent place to eat. Well, we found this place instead. They were incredibly accomodating and fit us in Way, way, WAY beyond decent. The food was delightful, the service was superb, and the restaurant is gorgeous. Thank you so much for finding us a spot, and letting us try your delightful food! Will go back for sure!

We arrived for dinner as walk-ins on a Wednesday night and the delicious smell of the food was filling the air. We were starving and wanted to treat ourselves to an impromptu romantic dinner for two. It looked like a traditional Italian restaurant from an old movie. We half expected to see Don Corleone lurking in the corner drinking a chianti. We were allowed to choose any table we wanted and decided to opt for the 5 course Tasting Menu so we got a bit of everything. Holy Cannoli! It was outrageously good! Everything is prepared with love and care…warm fluffy focaccia, pasta with pops of fennel seed, fresh basil, garlic, juicy lemon, lashings of Parmesan, rich cream, farmhouse butter and joyful plates of good Italian fare to feed the soul. This is traditional Italian food. The real deal. Just like it’s meant to be made. Pull up a chair and enjoy heaps of tagliatelle, fettuccine, fresh shrimp, calamari, buttery chicken, Caesar salad, minted lamb chops, caprese salad, salmon penne with cream sauce and a tiramisu to finish as a sweet treat. Do nut hurry this sensual process. You will not be disappointed. We received fantastic service from Nadli who was our waitress and tempted us with more goodies at every turn. She is a professional, full of smiles and knows her stuff! A huge thank you to Harry the Chef who has been spreading the Italian love for 27 years, according to Nadli. We didn’t get to meet you in person but we send our compliments to the chef! We will definitely be back.

Some of the best Italian food we have had in Metro Vancouver. Great staff and wonderful decor. Highly recommended for a family dinner.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta and gluten free bread, without extra charge, which is very rare and appreciated
