“Well, well, well. We are on a cross-country driving holiday and eating at familiar as well as new places. Stopped in Merritt BC to go to Brambles cafe for a dessert; we had stopped there in 2019. Sadly, it closed shortly after we were there...(not our fault) Adjacent to their location is a sports clothing store, called Original 378 Board shop. Walked out with a pair of dress sneakers and a windbreaker! And, the owner suggested a newish sushi restaurant, Coco's Chicken & Sushi located a couple of blocks away. We had an unagi donburi (eel & rice) which was as good as any we've had in our Toronto home base. We also had their Smoked salmon roll which is a more creative version of the California roll. These were so far above in quality and quantity we were truly amazed; ordered a second. If these are representative of the other menu offerings, this is a must place for your sushi cravings. To put that comment in perspective, we will be happily driving from our West Vancouver home specifically to enjoy a delicious and inexpensive meal. JC2”

“This is the BEST subway I have ever been to. They are incredibly friendly and greet you the second you walk in with smiles. Looking forward to lunch hour often gets me through the work day and when they take the time to make it how I like (No eye rolls at my double toasted request and slapping the ingredients on) AND remember my sandwich, it makes it even better. You feel the love here and leave with a happy tummy EVERY single time.”

“Definitely go here for the food. My 14 oz ribeye was cooked to perfect med rare. Homemade fries were perfect. Calamari was superb. Hot hamburger sandwich and Greek salad was delicious. Even the sautéed veggies were great. Mix of carrot, broccoli and golden beets. Now for the "service." Awful. Our soggy cardboard straws had more personality than our waitress. Brought out our food and didn't see her anymore until she came to take our dirty dishes. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or water or another drink. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants and this was hands down the worst service I've ever recieved.”

But most of all I would like to commend and give my appreciation to the asian girl who did my order, Andrea I'm not sure if I read her tag well but she's such a sweetheart, me and my mom often order at this branch when passing the city of merritt and whenever she's the one up front she's very patient and very friendly with my mom unlike some servers in other restaurants here in merritt that seems to be irritated when serving old people. So kuddos to you! We really appreciate your patience and kindness, you also have a calming sweet voice.”

“Drining through headed east. Stopped here because it was close to the highway. Got fuel and snacks, used the washrooms and hit the road again. Good location, clean store and washrooms. Easy to manoevre around the pumps and parking lot.”
