My most favorite Mexican Restaurant in Canada

One of the best Mexican foods, ever. I've ordered take-out from here regularly a few times and the food is UNSURPASSED.

Unfortunately the culinary experience is soured by one server; the blonde, middle aged server at the main counter, who always seems to be in a bad mood. Never greets, never smiles, and is very curt in how she addresses customers. The rest are lovely, however.

Maybe I'm unlucky in that I always envounter this person when she's having a bad day, but customers should never have to bear the brunt of employees acting out because of a bad day?

I ordered through skip. I was so hungry! I ordered 3 tacos: Paseo Pastor, Paseo shredded beef, and a Vego. I also ordered a side of guacamole and sour cream. Black beans and rice as well! The first thing i ate was the Paseo Shredded beef taco and i thought 100% this is the best one!!! Yumm! But then i tried the vego! Absolutely delicious too the beans and rice are wonderful and same with the Paseo pork! Im definitely going to say try this place, its great! I ate half, saving the rest for later, very filling! :)

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Nanaimo. Wide variety on the menu for all tastes, and all high quality and flavorful options. Refried beans are amazing, as well as the burritos and enchiladas. Great cocktails as well, and huge selection of jarritos. My go-to for takeout or dine in mexican food.

My boyfriend and I went to nanaimo island for the long weekend. We were there friday saturday sunday. Saturday evening Dinner time We look around for there's a casual restaurant. We stop by first Chinese restaurant and I said no food at to greasy..then
I saw the baby salsa mexican restaurant.. Then we sat there and looking at the menu. My eyes go wide cause everything looks yummy. And also, they have an option. A vegetarian cheese plant base chees. Burito tortillas looks so delicious ..everything looks so yummy. The toppings are all yummy .
My boyfriend had a cheesy nachos .. And I had two different buritos, vegetarian and I love them both.

My tummy totally satisfied for the non greasy food. Next time I'm going to nanaimo island for sure. I will eat lunch and dinner.

We just started going here a few months ago but it's so good we keep going back! We usually just get tacos or burritos and they are consistently delicious.

You get tortilla chips and salsa when you sit. The chips are made fresh and are still warm when you get them. The salsa tastes like it's made in house as well, it's very good!

Everything that we've had tastes like it's made fresh and with good quality ingredients.

There's a pretty good vegan menu too if that's what you're into. 🌱

The churros and sopapilla are sooo good for dessert.

The staff are really great too. The blonde waitress is really good and always remembers what we like :)

Great food and service! The dishes were fresh and tasty. Special shout out to our server Ireland who was so kind and made my mom’s birthday lunch special!

I always stop here for food when I'm coming through Nanaimo. Even if it's out of the way. The balance of flavours is just right. It's a must-go!

Definitely worth a stop in Nanaimo. Chill, made fresh, bursting with flavour. They got an inside and patio, very refreshing margarita. I could tell it was liked by locals. Fresh made chips. Perfect pit stop after coming off the ferry.
