We just discovered this pub and went with a small group for lunch today. We found the portion sizes and prices very good and the service was fine, but the music was too loud. It was hard having a discussion without leaning close to each other. I asked that the music be turned down a bit but, if they did, it wasn't a noticeable improvement. We'll go again when we can sit outside - hopefully it'll be a little more peaceful and conducive to talking out there.

Great pub and awesome food specials. I like to come for the steak sandwich, only $16 on Mondays. Although the steak was thin, they cooked it correctly, seasoned well too. The seafood chowder was one of the best sides I ever had. Lots of chunks of actual seafood, salmon included. I have had other food here and it was just as good. The only thing I would change, was for them to open one downtown.

18% is pushing it but when i got the machine to pay 22% tip which was the lowest , maybe for very good service but we waited til 10 after for the pub to open, then didnt get served for the next ten while the waitresses were chating away in the back, will not be back
When we go to the Black Bear Pub on Friday night with my Dad and sometimes without him. They treat us like Family!! Nickole’s team is Amazing!! When I went by myself on a Saturday night I think maybe the staff was off on they’re game!! As it has always been pretty Amazing !! Thank you Black Bear Pub!!

Only really ate chicken wings. They had good options and tasted pretty good. Service on the other hand was a bit annoying, we had to ask for dip maybe 2-3 times because our server kept forgetting. She wasn’t very knowledgeable with drinks either - ordered bourbon and she was like “I’ll have to ask if we have that because I don’t know what that is”

The food was terrific; however, the service was not acceptable. We had to wait over an hour for our food. We were also not the only table to wait that long, with some waiting longer. Until the service improves I will not be eating there again.
