I live in Ontario, but travel back-and-forth to Nanaimo about four times a year to visit family and this is always my first stop on my first morning.
They make one of the very best Americanos I get anywhere on the island! Their sourdough is also some of the best and my favourite is the garlic Asiago.
When I’m back in Ontario, I dream about their chocolate croissants and they are some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. This place is a hidden gem, but quickly becoming not so hidden so make sure you get there early or you’ll be disappointed.

Best little secret in Nanaimo. This Bakery has been my favourite. I can eat their bread without any issues that I have with others. I love their Polanta ciabatta and Fig Hazelnut bread. Their cinnamon buns are delicious! Yummy!

Zero complaints (which for me is rare (so I'm told). Coming from the Mainland have tried a variety of mid-island bakeries. Bodhi's is in a class by itself. Breads are great, Pastries are great, Coffees are great, Staff are great! Get there early though, and pay attention to their hours. Been there multiple times between work to see they are closed (my poor planning). Highly recommend, but at the same time want to keep this place a secret too. You guys are amazing. Thank you!

As we made our way to the ferry, we couldn't resist stopping by and were utterly enchanted by an incredible granola sourdough loaf that seemed to call out to us. The woman behind the counter radiated both extraordinary warmth and stunning beauty, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.

Nice selection of self made bread! Small self made stocking of sweets as well.
Coffee was good, there's oat milk and almond milk available and the atmosphere was very calming.

The best bakery in North Nanaimo hands-down. Definitely go in the morning if you want a specific type of bread or croissant. But oh my gosh, everything they make is so delicious.

Grate delicious baked goods, pastry and bred. Amazing girls at the desk (fast and friendly)

BUT ! Interior must be renovated ! You fill yourself like in the pantry of mexican resturant, or at the place wich is not made for guests, or definatly had a better days before. Old dameged fridges and empty cardboard boxes.

Pls fix it. And you definatly will one of the best places not only to buy baked goods, but to stay and enjoy !

Grate ceramic mugs !!
