Our visit to this location on August 28 was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. We ordered two #5 meals, and the quality and preparation were completely unacceptable.
First Meal (#5 with Fries & Pop): We paid $1.50 for mushrooms and got five tiny pieces — what a rip-off. The burger was drowned in so much mustard it had to be scraped off just to eat, and the fries were stale and cold.
Second Meal (#5 with Onion Rings & Pop): We specifically asked if the burger came with leaf lettuce like the photos show and were told yes. When we got home, it had shredded lettuce instead. Even worse, the onion rings were still frozen inside — we had to air fry them ourselves before eating.
Between the overcharging, the misleading information, the poor food quality, and the fact that part of the meal was literally served frozen, this was a complete failure.
We emailed management privately before posting this, giving them a chance to respond. They never did. Based on this experience, we won’t be back unless major improvements are made.

NOT HALAL? Burger Wheel’s website states “100% Halal. Period.” Unfortunately, our experience showed otherwise.
When we visited, we noticed there were no halal stickers, stamps, or signage displayed anywhere on the premises. Out of caution, we asked the two staff members behind the counter if the food was halal. They answered “yes.” I then asked to see the halal certificate—which by law and best practice should be publicly displayed—and they pulled it out from underneath the service counter.
The certificate they provided stated clearly that only poultry (chicken and turkey) were certified halal. There was no mention of the beef products. This was extremely concerning, especially since my husband had eaten there just a week earlier, was told that “everything” was halal, and had ordered beef based on that assurance.
As Muslims, eating halal is not a lifestyle choice but a religious obligation, and trust is essential when dining out. Misleading claims like “100% Halal. Period.” when not all meat is actually certified halal are not only unethical but also deeply disappointing.
I left my email address with staff and was told the owner would reach out to me. It has now been several days (the incident happened Tuesday, and today is Friday), and I have yet to hear from anyone. For an issue this serious, I would have expected a prompt response within 24 hours.
This experience has left us feeling deceived and questioning whether legal action may be necessary. If a business is going to guarantee halal food, it must be backed up by clear certificates, knowledgeable staff, and full transparency. Anything less is unacceptable.

Couldn't be bothered to cook, so we rounded up the kids and headed to Burger Factory. Even our picky eater, who always says no to everything, devoured a crispy chicken burger. No arguments, just good food.
Good service, kinda mid food. Cheese Steak Sandwich was good, Burger was just ok, and Chicken Strips are bland with no real sauce options. The fries were fresh and made in-house, but seasoning was inconsistent (same batch had a fry that was insanely salty, and another that had none).

We had a large order and everything was delicious. The price for the meal was fair & competitive. Interior was empty & very clean. Upon entering we got an immediate greeting & very fast service. I felt bad for the lady working alone while 3 addicts shot up right outside at the entrance though. I follow your company on instgram now after eating there, but honestly hate how it's run. The videos are absolutely terrible. Here's the thing though... I'd never consider eating there if your social media was the driving factor for my meal choice. They are so far from fun or informative or even professional. The products are worth the attention to detail, but the proper details. Not kids having fun with bad marketing. That doesn't tell me how amazing your poutine was, or how flavour packed the burger was. That page has less flavor than the food, and that's not what you want! The food is actually really good.

Something is really off about the taste of the beef, absolutely looks nothing like the picture, the beef has no seasoning or cheese in it, tasted like it was boiled, mac and cheese bites taste as if the oil has not been changed ever, strange smell from those, never again, also what restaurant does not have bacon as an option for a burger...for the price it's absolutely a joke with what is available in Nanaimo.
