Possibly the rudest staff I have ever had to experience in a bakery. Thought maybe it was a one off but no. Turns out you must have to be a rude person to work there. One woman especially. Yeah, you know who you are. Ask a simple question such as, do you have milk?, and the nasty reply is totally unnecessary. Once asked if there was a sachet of ketchup and got some pointless drivel about how ketchup isn't important to them. bizarre. Never will I set a foot in this place again. Not a dollar more.

Very rude staff. I’ve been in quite a few times hoping for a different experience ( I’m very big on supporting local businesses), unfortunately I haven’t had one. It’s sad because they do have good bakery items. I made my last attempt and will now be going elsewhere. Maybe some customer service courses could help? Or simply hiring people who enjoy being in customer service. It goes along way, and will help retain new customers as it seems to be a trend after reading the comments.

Oh, how we wish that the golden days of this bakery would come back! But the cake and breads are still excellent quality and we will for sure stop again before we leave the Island to stock up on bread and buns!

We’ve been going here for over 20 years. They made our wedding cake in 2000. Best doughnuts in town! We host international students (German, Polish, Czech)each year, and when I take them there, the first thing they say is “ohh! It feels like home ”

Extremely rude staff. The older ladies there seem to have no semblance of customer service or an ounce of patience. After I asked a question they gave quick snappy one word remarks as though I should already know about all their baked goods and pastries before setting foot in the store. Also witnessed them being rude to the other customer that was there the same time I was. First time going in there and I will not be going back.

The pretzel knots are worth ordering the day before to avoid being disappointed if you were to just walk in and hope to get some.
Wheelchair accessibility: The doors aren't push button of automatic but I find that people always help.

I buy from this bakery and love their baked items. I am also saddened by the harsh/rudeness from the servers. I asked for a loaf of bread to be sliced and you would have thought I’d have asked her to slice her hand off. No she said curtly and added that they don’t slice bread until after 11:30. I was perplexed as I was the only one in the bakery that moment and upon taking my unsliced bread to my car it was cold, not a bit warm which is why I thought maybe they couldn’t slice it.I usually brace myself to be snapped at when I go in and ask for something I want.

Amazing apple turnover:) original taste of the freshly baked pretzels is amazing and hard to find elsewhere. Friendly and cozy place. Reasonable prices too. Good selection of products directly imported from Germany. This place is my go to! bakery.
