Thank you so much to the barista this morning as the ferry is delayed and you got slammed with huge lineups for coffee . You were all by yourself and you handled it with poise . Amazing job.

Took more than 20 minutes to fulfill my order of a hot chocolate, giving several people who ordered after me their drinks then made it wrong, as the ferry was boarding I was forced to leave without my order or refund, we’ll done!!

This little coffee shop is perfect for those waiting for the ferry.Prices are reasonable. Coffee is decent, and the snacks are yummy.Staff are friendly and efficient. Washrooms are clean and nearby. There's seating inside and outside. I prefer outside to enjoy the ocean air.

They forgot to make my coffee and after 15 minutes of waiting I asked for a refund, they kept the tip and didn't apologize.

Good stop for a drink and snack on your way into the ferries. Chain latte and savory scone were pretty good.

Super nice people with superior service and taste. They specially made me a keto friendly drink even though it wasn’t on menu. Nice place for a coffee and views. Loved it.

We arrived early for our sailing so I went inside the Terminal and to my surprise there was Coyote's Coffee. I'm not one for coffee from such fast food places but the coffee was delicious. Spot on! The young folks who were working that Saturday evening were enthusiastic, friendly, polite, etc. I can't say anything negative about my experience that evening. And it was my very first time leaving my car and going into the terminal. I usually just drink water in my car. I'll be stopping by Coyote's Coffee again. Made some of my stress float away. I'm just hoping next time is as enjoyable as the first time.

Absolute HIGHWAY robbery just for getting a regular no frills coffee at the only vendor at the Duke Point Ferry Terminal. In order to buy 1 coffee, this vendor has the nerve to place a minimum purchase price of $5.00 in order to buy a $3.50 coffee and then seizes the opportunity to try and force you into an "up-sale" of other products in order to avoid paying the penalty fee to use her interact. Are you kidding me. Charging ANY customer a user fee in order to use interact as a former of payment is against the Banking Act! Check the regs people. In told her to stuff her coffee. What a great way to rip off all the tourist who visit Vancouver Island. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Especially when you are the ONLY food services provider at this location. Clearly taking advantage of every customer. I hope you sleep well at night and relish the bad taste you leave in people memories of their trips. P.S. Coffee wasn't even worth mentioning.

Can't really say much about a place that is the sole coffee shop at the Duke Point Ferry Terminal. I tried their blended mocha caramel which tasted pretty good as it was a nice blend of coffee and sweetness; although it separated almost immediately. Also, charging $.20 for a paper cup and then charging for hot water is a little excessive. Go for: the only coffee/food place at the ferry terminal Don't go for: value

Ridiculous hours of operation. When you have an early sailing 0515 or 0715, the coffee shop isn't open until 0900. Same if you take a ferry after their closing time at 1730. How come a business like this can work on an "office schedule"???? Get open early and close late, hire more batista and everybody will happy!

Not only does this place flex a monopoly on extremely overpriced food that might make you sick (as it has me in the past) while you wait for the ferry, the staff in this sad excuse for an establishment refused to give me an empty cup to pour my 2-year-old daughter some water without charging me. Because I didn't have any cash or plastic, my daughter had to go without and the ditsy incompetent girls behind the counter seemed to have no idea why anyone might be frustrated by that experience. Yelp needs to come up with a 'negative stars' rating so I can express myself adequately.

I tried Coyote's Cafe again today (because Buzz Coffee House and Urban Beet were both closed for Labour Day) and my latte was very good. They have no cups smaller than 12 ounces so it is unnecessarily complicated to order a proper latte (6-8oz.), but they still managed a tasty start to my morning! The pastries are still sub-par, and mostly wrapped in saran wrap, but they had my favourite (and increasingly ubiquitous) white-chocolate / cranberry biscotti from Melinda's Biscotti in Sidney, so I was happy.

This place was on their way to making a huge impact on the Nanaimo Cafe scene (as if there is such a thing...) but something bad happened along the way. The coffee was great, then they tried to roast their own. They were doing good, slowly perfecting it the roast - then ???? When I first started going to Coyote's I was impressed with the level of service and quality of beverages. I took my girlfriend at the time (now wife :-) there just to get a Valentines Cinnamon Latte complete with heart shaped latte art. Last time I went there the barista couldn't even get the milk to a decent consistency for a mediocre taste. Very sad... I might be rating this place a little low since I had such high hopes for it and they've been dashed against the rocks - but i think I'm sadly right on the money. Brad's bang on with the snacks though - all cellophane. What's with that? How to people think that's acceptable with today's consumer so focused on quality and authenticity?
