I went here last weekend and ordered the deep fried Brie bites. They arrived and I took a small bite out of them. They weren’t hot to the touch. I took another bite and boiling hot cheese exploded onto my face. I got a second degree burn from these.

After buying around $50 worth of burn treatment supplies, I still have evidence of a burn on my face.

Although the server did get us a bag of ice and was apologetic, I do think that there should’ve been a warning and utensils with this dish. I also think the dish should’ve been removed from the bill at a minimum. I’m really disappointed.

Also, my partner emailed the restaurant to tell them what happened and they didn’t respond. I’m really not impressed.

I like this place and want to support it but being rude to your customers is a no go for me! I will not be returning.

The place was great. All but for 1 server who was so rude to my friend and I, it was actually very shocking. But the other server ( the one with her own nail business) made up for it. Probably won’t go back in fear of getting the curly haired girl that made us feel like we were very unwanted.

Lovely broad selection of local brews. Can't wait for the street to be finished to enjoy the patio, wide variety of finger foods, but the main attraction is the breath of the local beers, and mostly smaller ones at that. You can get fattug and blue buck anywhere, you come here for the fuggles and backcountry.

Great rotating selection of non-Nanaimo but BC craft beers.
One big screen to watch (not listen) to a marquee sporting event.
Nice 10oz glass options so you can sample some of the 16 taps.

They have food too, that looks appetizing but I was there for the beer... next time!

Decent place. Make sure to order a taster before ordering otherwise tough luck.

This place was a great place to meet a friend I hadn't seen for a long while! The selection of drinks was top notch and recommendations from the server helped me choose a great drink! And those perogies were delicious!

Only downside for me: the sliders on the menu don't tell you that it's a combo of beef and pork. As a person who is a allergic to pork, this could have been a disaster. There was no mention on the menu or when I ordered. The only reason I discovered this fact was because they came back pink, which I was assured that it was okay because of the pork! I am just writing this review for anyone who doesn't eat pork so they are aware.

I will definitely be back to try other drinks and items on their menu!

It's full of energy here.

Good tap list but they drop the ball with their seating arrangements. Barely any seating to begin with, surprised they aren't more proactive in consolidating seating. 10+ seat available but my group of five had no room..
