So ? happy to finally get back here. We were so excited that we might have gone overboard ? with our order. Monkey brain ? ? is a must have. As are the smoked salmon rolls and the fatty salmon sashimi. We were extremely pleased with our order, The Chef’s Special, which arrived on an intimidatingly large & impressive boat, but the combination and arrangement was spectacular. Next time, I will save my miso soup to have between morsels of various dishes. I’ve seen other dishes in reviews that might be great to try but if you are out with a few friends, the Chef’s Special is a wonderful combination. Our server was great as well as another person who might have been a manager or owner. Both made sure we had everything we needed, including tea, water, and a little extra wasabi. They also gave us a couple of lidded trays and a small waterproof tote bag for our leftovers.

Hands-down my favourite sushi restaurant in Nanaimo! Amazing service and food! Everything is tasty but my go-to’s are the Gomae, just yam roll and veggie yakisoba. Highly recommend!
