its my first time.they lack a server but thanks to the server with brown hair very friendly and honest. I dropped my money under the table and she saw it she chased me and gave it to meeven though its obvious that she tired she still smilling and she doesn’t stop to say sorry if she takes a long time to serve our food.?

Gotten way worse, way more expensive portions are smaller than anywhere else in town for WAY more $! Rice is soggy.. just bad, use to be best in town.

Really disappointed - brought friends from out of town and sat for over 20 minutes without our food or drink order being taken. Meanwhile the table next to us sat down after us and was already eating by the time we decided to just leave.

We moved here from the mainland recently and have been on the hunt for a good sushi place in Nanaimo that compares to the ones we've loved. This place is now our go-to for fresh sushi. Great prices as well! The service was good, but not overly friendly on the night we went. The food more than made up for it though!
It's ok, the bar isn't set too high in Nanaimo for Sushi restaurants, actually restaurants in general but Dami holds its own. Stay away from the imitation crab found in some rolls and you will be alright. I moved here from Whistler where the restaurants are world class, the sushi second only to Japan so my palate has been spoiled. But with that world class food in Whistler comes world class prices, so paying less is welcome. With the number of wealthy retirees here and others I am surprised at the lack of quality places here.

Had a wonderful experience at dami tonight. Our server, not sure her name but has short brown hair with a nose ring gave absolutely amazing service and suggestions. 10/10 waitress.

Miso soup was was under 6oz. Smallest size ive ever seen. Only size they sell. Other places small miso is 8oz or more.Dynamite roll was shorter than before. Shrinkflation??Well I will be Shrinkflating my wallet and never ordering from here again!
