So I’m going to take the blame for this one.. I should have looked at the reviews a bit closer…the food had no flavour. The egg foo young was oddly watery(the sauce was in the side) ginger beef was really chewy.. over all very disappointed. I even considered calling but then seeing how far back the reviews go with people saying the same thing? What’s the point, they obviously haven’t changed.
Save your money and goto the food court instead!
Wow. Son drove there to get order and they said no order under name given. I get a call say they have order. My son comes home so I call them and say that you’ll need to discount me for having to drive there again. No one could figure out what to do. They call back 10 min later and ask if I’m picking up order. No discount. I say I’ll go some where else and they were fine with that. Place is going downhill. Won’t be back.
Took one look at the buffet, and wanted to walk out but decided to order off the menu in hopes that the menu selection (and the higher prices) would have a better quality of food!
End result - Definitely hard on the guts, and creates diarrhea!
Best to avoid that restaurant!!

Driftwood Great Chinese Buffet offers a traditional Chinese buffet experience, similar to the early 2000s, with a variety of typical options. The food quality is generally good, with some dishes standing out, such as the wonton, which was delicious, and the fried chicken wings that were crispy and tasty. The prawns are fresh and tender, and the fluffy steam buns with different fillings are a highlight. The sesame sticky rice ball (麻球) is well made, crispy outside and chewy inside. Veggie and fish options are plentiful, though veggies tend to be softer than desired, but still taste good. Desserts are standard, including jello, nanaimo bars, carrot cake bars, and ice cream. The restaurant is spacious and clean, with plenty of parking nearby, making it convenient for visitors. Staff are friendly and attentive, quickly replenishing food trays and providing good service. A fun feature is the cat robot that can be sent to tables upon request, adding a kid-friendly and accessible touch. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a suitable place for family dinners or gatherings with friends. Prices are around $35 per person, which some may find a bit high considering the food quantity, but the quality makes it worthwhile. Overall, Driftwood provides a warm environment with tasty food and good service.
