Delicious place for Brunch. Had their Pulled Pork pancakes, so great. My wife had their hash and was very happy with it. If we are back in town, we would definitely be back. Place can be VERY busy, and it's seat yourself, so keep that in mind, especially on a weekend or long weekend.

I tried the quinoa burger. It was not very flavorful and basically fell apart on the first bite, I went there with a vegetarian friend who ordered a rice bowl with tofu, they served her a chicken rice bowl. They remade it and apologized but that is a major mistake that was missed by the cook and the server, I dont think a simple apology and remake was enough to make it up to her

The food was delicious, the coffee was okayish not great, I find the food is much more upscale than the coffee there.
Nice cute place but got really loud around 11 am.

Great breakfast, one of the best I've had in some time. I had the MT Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce, was great. Bacon perfect, nice and thick cook to crisp, but not over done. The home fries, though we're some of my favorite home fries I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be back when I visit Naniamo again.

I visited Gabriel’s today ordered food, staff very pleasant,I noticed the chef wiping/touching his nose and his full beard also touching his cap and using his cell phone,he didn’t wash his hands,at Gabriel’s you pay for your food when you walk in, I will not eat food in a restaurant with that kind of hygiene, I informed the young lady at the counter and left, I won’t be back ps: he should probably be wearing a net to cover his beard

What a great place for a morning coffee and a very nice breakfast. We were in Nanaimo for 3 days and hate breakfast at Gabriel's Cafe two times.

Gabriel's is a nice spot to sit in if you catch it at a quiet time. Usually too loud inside for me, but there's nice quiet outdoor seating as well :) I had the Kimchi Salad Bowl and a London Fog. Both very good. FYI, their london fogs are on the sweeter side.
After hearing good things, we've finally been in. I won't return for breakfast/brunch. Eggs Benedict was fine. The eggs were a decent medium. The bacon was crispy, but across both muffins so has to be cut to separate the one from the other. Minimal hollandaise. The hashbrowns were the worst I've ever had. I thought first that they were frozen and warmed. No. Figured out that they were pre-cooked and warmed as some were room temp while others were hotter (not hot). None were crispy. Soggy mush with a shape of a hashbrown but they texture of mush, almost wet cardboard.

Had heard nothing but positive reviews and finally had the schedule line up to check it out. Landing over the Christmas to New Years stretch worked out in our favor as we lucked out and only had one other group in there as we enjoyed the most perfect eggs benedict before starting our roadtrip!

Finally got the chance to eat here and it did not dissapoint. Yummy food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Also, love that they use as many local ingredients as they can.
