I had the Malaysian satay bowl with tofu. Yum, yum, just the way I like it: tons of excellent peanut sauce, with veggies and rice.
Not much usually gets between me and satay tofu, but I had to admit defeat and ask for a take away box for some of it, as the portion was huge!
Stumbled upon this great little spot in Nanaimo while visiting the Island. Quick and short drive from Departure Bay. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great ambiance. The food and coffee were great and arrived quickly. Definitely a spot worth a visit.
It was busy but we had great service! My only complaint is the pancakes— my daughter really didn’t enjoy them and I wasn’t a fan either the coconut milk made them a bit rubbery! Other vegan options might have better results
