We've been here a couple times and LOVE the atmosphere and attention to detail in the decor! Service has been great both times and the server was attentive, though it hasn't been very busy in the restaurant so can't say if that might result in a different experience. The food is mostly tasty and not heavily salty or sweet which is refreshing. Meat and veggies are well cooked and fresh, and not overdone, though there's something possibly acidic missing that...
When I walked in, the Golden Inn blew my mind with it's ornate Chinese painted carvings all over the walls and ceiling. I felt like I was in an ancient Chinese temple. The food was good, pretty standard Americanized Chinese food. I recommend the pan fried dumplings.
The food and service is amazing! I'm blown away how good the Peking duck was. Don't sleep on the 3 course soup version either. Beef Chow fun was delicious as was the beef brisket hot pot. Rivals Vancouver quality.
