Horang Korean inspired restaurant & bar

Sadly I had to leave before I ordered but wanna give it a good review cause the waitress was so understanding, with me being mentally disabled I had to leave cause I didn’t know to reserve a seat, I can’t sit beside men I don’t know. So I wanna say sorry I left and can’t wait to give it a go next time!

Was curious about this place and finally decided to try it with my husband. It hit once and we were back every other day for their amazing food! Anything you picked, you will not be disappointed. Lastly the staff - Emma and the rest of the girlies all have been amazing and provide excellent service. Best Restaurant in Nanaimo :)

Their food is amazing specially fried chicken mayo, portions are big.
The best value for the amount you pay & time you spent.
To my view, it worth it to wait even for an hour to sit.

It was the most meanest restaurant ever I went to in my life (I am 9 years old) because!!!!! we went in first and some other customers came in and a staff came and talked to them first so we came out and went to another restaurant to eat lunch.

Incredible taste, great selection

It is the first time I bought such a dark Basque cake. They said it was due to high-temperature baking. I didn't know what to say but birthday is coming I have no choice.

Really disappointed in Horang. We celebrated my partners birthday with our friends and family April 15th. The food was great and we had a nice experience until I got home and noticed wax spilt allover my jacket. I called them back as soon as I got home and realized what happened to let them know. My friends sitting on the opposite side of the table saw the candles being taken off another table and while transitioning the candles from the table to the back of house they spilt allover the floor and my jacket. I went to the restaurant the next day to show what had happened to my jacket and that I didn’t receive a call back. The server who took care of us the previous night approached me, I told him what happened and they admitted they had seen wax allover the ground where we were sitting the previous night. They called the store manager and explained what happened, the server came back and apologized for what happened and offered to pay for the cost of the cleaning. I got my jacket cleaned and the wax residual is still there making the jacket ruined. I brought back the jacket after being cleaned to show them the jacket is ruined. The head chef came to speak with me and covered the cost of the dry cleaning but just kept saying sorry & they would make our meal extra special next time we came in. Sorry & dinner doesn’t fix my jacket and now it’s ruined. Very disappointing as the food is great but the customer service is very poor.

Hoang Restaurant is hands-down the best fusion Korean spot in Nanaimo. Their chicken is outstanding, and my kids love it so much that we order here every month. Truly, this place is a blessing for our city!
