Awesome smash burgers made to order. You might not expect such good food in a food court...but you'd be mistaken. The mall keeps the food court nice and clean with great family bathroom facilities. Highly recommend!

This place is a bit of a challenge to find, hidden away in the back of a mall near the restrooms but it is definitely worth the effort to find!! Great smash burger with just the right amount of toppings and sauce to make it messy fun. French fries crispy hot and on point. Highly recommend if you happen to being Nanaimo!
The burgers were amazing. The addition of the “Joe Mama sauce” was worth the extra. The onion rings were my favourite. The fries were also delicious. And the cherry on top, plastic straws ?

Visited joes burger ask for what I needed to eat for lunch the suggestion was the double cheese burger with bacon. I was not disappointed. Thank you so much and look forward to another lunch heat soon.
I am a bit of a burger connoisseur and Joe Burger has the best burgers in Nanaimo, by far. The only place you can get a quality smash-style burger to my knowledge, (Which I was craving for Nanaimo to get). The burgers are great as they come, and even better with bacon or joe mama styled. Same with the fries. The fries are battered which is another thing I love; extra crisp and crunchy on the outside, soft inside. The staff are friendly too.
Atmosphere is just a mall food court, so nothing bad but also doesn't have the same atmosphere as a building of its own. Definitely could imagine joe burger having that old school diner aesthetic if it did have its own building.
Would highly recommend Joe Burger.

Came here 2 times back to back days. Truly a quality burger that can rival shake shack in the US. Truly delicious. Tried the fries and they are more cantina style fries would be nice if they bought better quality fries. Over all 9/10.
