Popped into here because it was next to my hotel. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was hot and fresh and came reasonably fast. I had the crispy chicken and it was quite good.

Stumbled across this amazing full flavoured menu items as it was super close to our hotel.They were able to adjust spice levels for each of us and the flavours were wonderful. A must every time we are near.

Food is spectacular. Will definitely be back.Servers are nice, and eager to please. Would be great if they were more on top of it. We mentioned we wanted dessert when we came in. After our meal, I asked about dessert, and was told the kitchen had closed. It was 730pm, kitchen closes at 730pm apparently. I would have appreciated if the servers who knew when the kitchen would close, would have made sure I got my dessert order in before it closed.But the food is really really good. Don't miss it.

Very disappointed. Did not resemble Thai cuisine at all. They were out of items on the menu. I was served food in chipped bowls. Very expensive. Would not ever recommend.

Made reservations for our group and was glad we did, as the restaurant started hopping as soon as we were seated. Our server Emily was fantastic, patiently gave explanations for various orders and communicated with the kitchen staff about accomodating food preferences. The tom yum soup, spring rolls, calamari, massadan curry, and siam crispy chicken dishes (and more) were amazing, and the tom kha soup was to die for! Definitely coming back :)

They use magic plates which look bigger but actually are smaller in portion size. We had to go to McDonalds after eating here as we didn't feel full or satisfied. It was the flavor of the food which couldn't even match Thai Express. Server was friendly and working really hard. We felt bad for her as the food was taking really long and this affected her tip % rate. No reason to go back there for us.

This is my first negative review of a restaurant. The prices on their website are out of date by quite a bit, costing much more than expected because of it. We had the yellow and green curry, both of which did not taste like what they usually do. The yellow curry had Indian spices in it instead of Thai and the green curry didn’t even look like a curry. I was very shocked, a friend of the owners suggested it to me and I was disappointed to have so many issues. The soup and pad Thai we had were good, but overshadowed by everything wrong honestly.

Well, the portion size is definitely fine dining level, but not the taste. Aside front the soup, which is very spicy(hot) , the rest of the foods are quite bland. Bit disappointed since they have such a good rating on Google.

Great to find close-to authentic Thai food in nanaimo. Delicious, I chose Red Curry with Thai spice. Hot & delicious. Potstickers not heated up enough. Good Thai sauce on them. Friendly attentive service. Spoke with Joy the chef. Sincere Thai hospitality.
If you like Thai food, you have found the right place! The food here is amazing every time that we've been here. Best Thai in Nanaimo.

Best thai place imo in Nanaimo. Food is flavourful. The pad thai and the prawns in a blanket are our favourite. Can't wait to try more. Only wish they delivered.

This wonderful thai place was across from the hotel we were staying at. Where to start, we had a young , energetic server with a great contains positive attitude.. Her service was impeccable and attentive. We had two appetizers 3 dishes and a fried rice as well as a couple of desserts. The sticky rice with mango and a deep fried ice cream. The food was heavenly, my hubby and I were so full and content.. A really nice treat in Nanaimo

We have considered Kasira’s as favourite for years. In the last year or so we have found it increasingly difficult to get the wine we like. On our last visit we were informed that they were out of white wine and only had 2 reds. As we prefer white, we were told we could go to the liquor outlet 3 doors down and buy a bottle to have with our dinner, which we did. We even opened it and poured it ourselves. We were charged a $15 corkage fee for the honour of going out to buy our own wine, and serve ourselves. They did provide 2 wine glasses for the cost. When it came time for dessert they were out of the first 2 choices and there was uncertainty about the 3rd choice. In the end they decided that they did have it but it be a 20 minute wait. At this point we paid and left. The food is always good and was this time as well, but the service is not and has made us rethink our habit of going a couple of times a month for Joy’s Thai food. If they can’t provide wine we will go elsewhere. We are very disappointed
