We grab pickup here every time we pass through Nanaimo. Pizza and gnoxhi are outstanding!
Service was very slow for pizza because the take out orders take priority
Good pizza! Went on a Saturday at around 4:15 in the afternoon. Restaurant was not busy. Service was soooo slow... could see a lot of servers though.
Pizza (took an hour to get it) is better than average one in Canada, but girls have pretty basic understanding of what customer service is
My son and I stopped by without a reservation, what a lovely restaurant. The food was top notch.
Food is excellent! Vibe could be improved. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac as much as the next guy, but at an Italian restaurant? Some classical or even lofi beats, or jazz would be a far superior choice for music to elevate the high end dining experience.
A very friendly and attentive staff. The pizza was superb. I will definitely go back again when I'm in Nanaimo.
Amazing pasta, just amazing!
Very tasty pizza. I recommend the place.
Stopped by without a reservation and was able to get squeezed in. Food was amazing, good portions, and reasonably priced. We shared the calabrese pizza and the pasta dish with chicken and capers (I forget the name) and would recommend both.

Really like the meatballs, and enjoyed the short rib pasta
This place is simply one of the best places to eat in Nanaimo. Food - Amazing, The wood-fired beats are a staple, but you would really have a hard time finding a miss on the menu. It can be a little noisy of a space because it is so small with such high ceilings, but the ambience is great, dimly lit for a romantic evening or get dinner and show by sitting at the bar and watching the masters at work.
We got one of the last tables of the night and so grateful that we did. This place is a hidden gem! A cozy and casual room, the food and service were impeccable. The menu is simple, unpretentious and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Arancini, Arugula Salad, Forno pizza, and the in- house-made sorbet.
Food is decent here. I would say the pizza is the star of the show and better than most places in town, albeit pretty pricey. However, my real gripe with this place is the atmosphere. It’s a cute, quaint little location in the old city quarter which has so much potential…but they BLAST the most horrible top hits pop songs like its a low end sports bar…service is slow so you’re sitting there just being hammered with terrible head pounding music. If they switched this up to some lofi or soft jazz the atmosphere would be amazing. But after working all day, looking for a low key date spot, this is not the vibe. Super disappointed. Won’t be going back.
What a gem this restaurant is, and hidden in plain sight in the mews behind the Old City Quarter.
I’m not that into pasta so I had the gnocchi and braised beef and itwas to die for. So tender and delicious and not too complicated. The portions seemed to grow while we were eating?! I ate until I was full and still took home a full portion to eat at home (just as good as when it was served). We had bread for the table which was really tasty but not necessary along with a full entree… save your space for dinner!
It was busy but we had excellent, attentive service. The place has a comfortable vibe, but the tables did feel a little squished near the host station. Despite being seated right behind it, it wasn’t as disruptive as I feared and staff made an effort to find us a table where we could hear each other well.
