Food is excellent! Vibe could be improved. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac as much as the next guy, but at an Italian restaurant? Some classical or even lofi beats, or jazz would be a far superior choice for music to elevate the high end dining experience.
Stopped by without a reservation and was able to get squeezed in. Food was amazing, good portions, and reasonably priced. We shared the calabrese pizza and the pasta dish with chicken and capers (I forget the name) and would recommend both.
This place is simply one of the best places to eat in Nanaimo. Food - Amazing, The wood-fired beats are a staple, but you would really have a hard time finding a miss on the menu. It can be a little noisy of a space because it is so small with such high ceilings, but the ambience is great, dimly lit for a romantic evening or get dinner and show by sitting at the bar and watching the masters at work.
