Amazing food, an exquisite fine dining experience. I recommend going on the Wednesday night to enjoy a great selection of dishes. This restaurant won the Nanaimo buisiness award for restaurants in both 2019 and 2020 and it's clear why. Their food is carefully and beautifully prepared and the flavour is unparalleled. Any preferences like vegetarian or gluten-free can be accomadated but must be arranged in advance with a reservation as the Wednesday menu is made as is my the chef, and cannot be altered. As such, the Wednesday experience menu is not ideal for those with serious allergies. Their à la carte menu has options for dietary restrictions. A private dining room is also available for larger groups. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful converted house complete with a patio area that is open during the summer and vine covered pagoda walkway. Absolutely worth the drive out from Nanaimo!

An incredible amazing family run restaurant in Nanaimo. We went for the Adventurous Wednesday ( a bit like omakase), my husband and I both had our 5 course meal and ended up we experienced tasting 10 different dishes. The chef puts in some much details in the ingredient and you can also taste the depth of each flavor presented in each dish. Very satisfied as it was our anniversary and the surprises added more meaning. Thank you.

Honestly, the meal we ate tonight at this restaurant is THE BEST FOOD we've ever had, and that says a lot since we've eaten at many restaurants around the world. It was a spectacular and culinary delight in all way. We're glad we've discovered this treasure on Vancouver Island.

Fine dining in a quaint old rural farm house setting. I have eaten at some of the finest restaurants in many different countries. Mahle House is 5 stars in every respect!
We had the chef's special which was steelhead trout topped by a corn fritter and popcorn with a froth dauce. Sounds quite weird but it was spectacular. So creative. So delicious.

After living on the island for years and somehow never hearing of this place, we had to try it. VI’s most underrated restaurant. Amazing experience from start to finish. The service was awesome (shoutout to Craig), the food absolutely incredible, and the ambiance was the cherry on top. Dad and I were blown away…never had a meal like that in our lives. This place needs a Michelin star. High end ingredients, a well thought out menu, and excellent execution. Don’t skip this spot!
