After living on the island for years and somehow never hearing of this place, we had to try it. VI’s most underrated restaurant. Amazing experience from start to finish. The service was awesome (shoutout to Craig), the food absolutely incredible, and the ambiance was the cherry on top. Dad and I were blown away…never had a meal like that in our lives. This place needs a Michelin star. High end ingredients, a well thought out menu, and excellent execution. Don’t skip this spot!

This is an absolutely wonderful dining experience. Wednesday tasting menu, 5 courses and the two of us had different ones! So we got to taste 10 creations from the Michelin Star trained chef. Wonderful evening, super friendly staff, lovely comfortable space, just all around excellent.

We went for our first time for my bestfriends 30th birthday and impressed is an understatement. The cocktails were perfection, the amuse bouche was delicious, I could've licked the plate the appetizers were so good and our mains were to die for. The flavours, presentation, atmosphere and our of server were all 10/10. We absolutely will be back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Best dining experience on Vancouver Island. These guys deliver a very upscale dining experience. Travelled extensively and experienced some of the best eating to be had including Michelin starred restaurants on numerous continents. This is an excellent restaurant with outstanding service and food. Don’t let the quirky Farmhouse exterior fool you. There is some serious gastronomy happening here. If you want an outstanding dining experience you don’t have to leave the Island for then try Mahle House.

Food was tasty and pretty. Love they had locally sourced meats. Porcupine shrimp were a unique treat. Servers were knowledgeable, attentive, personable. The gardens around the restaurant were lovely, inside the converted character home was warm and inviting, outside could use a paint it seems. They are nailing their philosophy: “serve flavourful, unique food in a welcoming environment with relaxed, professional service.”
Four stars not five - the drink menu was disappointing. Limited and lack of local wines by the glass, bar spirits were generic. There are so many amazing Vancouver Island vineyards, distilleries and breweries - why not highlight and support them as they try to do with the food sourcing.

Phenomenal! This is a Vancouver Island bucket list experience. Second generation family owned, the food was fantastic and service was wonderful.
Visually stunning, imaginative and delicious.. The Wednesday adventure menu was by for the best meal we have had on Vancouver Island in many years.. a 5 course offering featuring different plates for each diner was not only an amazing way to try new flavors and push people outside of their food comfort zone, but also created an amazing experience with 4 of us sharing each plate working out to 20 different dishes to try throughout the meal. Drinks were fantastic as well.. Excellent whiskey sour and old fashioned, along with their signature cocktails were all great quality. The service was top tier, with each team member taking the time to describe each dish in elaborate detail and always smiling and helpful. 100% RECOMMEND DOING THE WEDNESDAY ADVENTURE MENU!!!!!!!!

This restaurant does it all, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. The service was second to none, I felt as though I was an old friend and this was my first experience. The food was indescribable to the point I had to ask if they had a Michelin start, I can't believe they don't, Mahle House Restaurant should. Highly recommend you come here for the food and the experience.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Mahle. We were celebrating our first year wedding anniversary. Right from the moment we were greeted and taken to our table, Lindsey was so friendly and my wife really took a liking to her. Our server, Craig, I feel went above and beyond from what I usually experience. The recommendations and checking in goes a long way with us. And the experience with the food was amazing. From the appetizer, to the main, and dessert. 10 out of 10. Our compliments to chef and team. Presentation was impressive. Every bite was an “Oh my god” moment. We really could not get enough. It was well worth every penny and we are definitely going to be back for another experience. Thank you!!
