Marina's Taverna & Pizza

On Canada day, my friend and I were lucky that most other nearby restaurants were closed, but not Marina's. I had intended to go there for ages and I am glad that the opportunity finally came about. The atmosphere was pleasantly Mediterranean, with appropriate music and decor. The Greek menu was varied and delicious. I had the prawn souvlaki, and my partner had the spanakopita, both preceded by a wonderful Greek salad. Impossible to say which of these was better than the other. The server was cheerful and chatty and answered all our questions very professionally

I didn't realize this place had new owners. A couple years ago it used to be amazing. Went today and was terribly disappointed.

Ordered skip the dishes. What a mess.never ever again. Driver was great. Resturant was aweful. Food was aweful, when called then was like who cares

Went on a Sunday night with friends and the place was dead empty. The decorations are cheesy and cheap and need an update. The place appears more like a green house than a restaurant. The server was kind and attentive (putting on music for us and turning on the A/C) but we were the only ones there. The food was disappointing. I ordered the lamb souvlaki and it was tough and over cooked with little flavor. The sides (rice, veggies, potato) were fine but lacked flavor. For the price $20, I didn't think it was worth it. My friend ordered a side of pita with her food and it was stale and hard and inedible.

What happened ?!?!?! This used to be an amazing restaurant that required reservations. Since new ownership, everything has gone downhill. Never busy anymore and the food is below average. Do not waste your money here. They should be ashamed to keep the same name.

There was only one server for a Saturday night; only 3 tables of customers. Server was friendly but unfortunately lacked serving skills. We ordered a platter for 2 but had to ask for 2 empty plates for each course. Some of the food wasn't bad but I have had much better. It was also cool inside; playing Indian music in a Greek restaurant?

My boyfriend and I went there. Place was almost empty so found that a bit uncomfortable and nerve racking as we have seen bad reviews but still wanted to give the place a try. We liked that there were no TVs as most places have them everywhere and can be very annoying. We barely understood the server and she didn't know which beer was on tap but she was really nice and attentive. We got the plater for 2 with the beef and lamb and it was really good, lamb was super tender the beef had good flavours. We also really liked the veggies with it. The salad was huge. So overall the atmosphere wasn't the best unless you don't want to be around other people but the food was good.

Food is great, and love the decor inside. With nice staff and good food, it's disappointing to see all the bad reviews. I've been there a few times now, and plan to keep going back!

i heard through a few people about how bad the food was. and they have a rat problem going on in the kitchen

If I could rate as zero I would; I ordered out from this place. 30$ for noodles with sub-par and oily fettucine sauce with nothing else on it, and what they now call Ek-Mek which was sent to me FROZEN making the custard watery and disgusting when it finally thawed. When I first moved here Marina's was an amazing greek palace where I could express my heritage through binge eating delectable food from my background, now that they've let go the competent chef and ownership I'm afraid it's now on my blacklist. Pity. I look forward to when the rating finally reaches 0 on google and maybe they realize they should go back to the way they were before. For those dining without your fancy background, the true horrible taste of the food comes out.

stoped in to get a pizza to go the place was frezzing any customer that came in kept there jackets on .the pizza was krap it had cheddar cheese it tasted like a kraft pizza
