A little bit about me...I love coffee and I really LOVE donuts. So much so that when my wife and I first considered moving to Nanaimo, part of that process involved whether or not there was a really good local donut shop in the city. Luckily, Nanaimo has Milk Jam Donuts! I think my favourite right now is the Vanilla Dip, but honestly it’s almost impossible for me to pick favourites. Treat yourself to some happiness and check them out!
Ive had MANY people recommend this place so much expectations were high. And im sad to say, I was slightly disappointed... I feel as though the donuts lacked flavor, they were all quite bland. The texture was great but flavors just weren't there for me. The lady who served us too lacked customer service skills and I felt it was a chore for her to talk to us.
Best donut I’ve ever had. No joke. It melts in your mouth.

I have heard a lot about this place so my expectations were high, and I have to say they did not disappoint!
We got four different kinds of donuts (basically what they had left, so go early!)and each one was delicious. The best donuts I've ever had.
Can't wait to go back.

Possibly the best donuts on Vancouver Island. And I've tried them all.

I really like this donut place. The place usually sells out quick so I will remind myself to go earlier next time. It definitely sells one of the highest quality donuts in town. The execution of the flavors is great. The frosting and fillings used are not too sweet and you can actually taste the ingredients. The dough is light, fluffy, and complements the frosting well. They have a range of flavors and I'm looking forward to trying them.

Anyone who get less than 12 donuts is weak of character.
My friends took me out to get donuts, but the first place we went only had one flavour, it was vegan and gluten free. Obviously I threatened to leave immediately. Cinnamon is a spice, not a flavour.
We ended up at this place with a bunch of moms who brought their 3 year olds straight from dance, I knew we were surrounded by people who knew what's up. These moms have spent the last 25 years bragging about their calorie counting, they aren't getting treats outside of Costco unless it's worth it, and it was.
I got a modest 12.
-Chocolate. Has a chocolate ganache, dark chocolate and makes it. I almost didn't get this one because it looked pale, it was great.
- Creme Brulee. If it tastes a bit salty, it's because you ate it too fast and have shredded your gums and your mouth is full of blood. The Creme Brulee top is like eating a handful of Christmas lights, you must do it very slowly and extremely carefully. I would suggest not eating this while famished or you will go too fast.
-Lemon. If you like lemon you will really lime this. At no point did I wonder what flavour it was supposed to be, it was lemon front to back and top to bottom.
-Boston Cream. As listeners of my show know, the value of a Boston cream is the topping, not the filling. It should be dark and rich. Slam dunk. Great job.
-London Fog. I'm not the biggest London Fog fan. In my experience it is the flavour of drink children get at Starbucks until they get into energy drinks and then transition off that poison and into coffee. The flavor of this was perfect, noticeable and yet subtle. It wouldn't be my first choice but if my kid couldn't finish I would finish it for her.
-Maple and Vanilla. They are what they are. This place has got its flavor dialed in.
If I could recommend one I would say the lemon, but any filled donut is worth the trip.
I'll talk about donuts on an upcoming episode of Party Among Yourselves on Apple podcasts and Spotify.

Super cute little donut shop (that also serves some limited coffee). Interesting and tasty and quite affordable for the quality and being a small local shop.

Excellent donuts and friendly staff in a cute little shop! They have a wide selection flavors and filling and were all freshly made. The dough itself is perfect, a beautiful soft fluffy texture.
