Always want to support local businesses. Checked out this winery summer '25. Looks like a nice setting. While waiting to be served I noticed that the indoor setting was a mess. A fellow was washing glasses by hand and didn't look like he was being thorough. (Health department). Got a red and a white. Decent pours. The white was awful and the red was disgusting. Couldn't make myself finish the red. A first. I've always been lenient and considerate of other vintners products, finishing them even I didn't really care for them.
I was, until a few years ago, a wine maker for 14 years. I had a small private vineyard. I like to take a stroll through the vineyards I visit. From my experiences, I could see that there was no love here. Poorly managed vineyard. We wine makers have a saying...'the wine is made in the vineyard'.
Need I say more?

Flight was less than a mouthful of 5 wines for $12. We still bought a $40 bottle of red. A few days later, after we got home, we opened the bottle and it was bad. My husband will normally drink anything but that went down the sink. Total rip-off…..

I waffled about whether to leave a review but ultimately I think if you charge money for something that a customer can’t return (eg, a wine tasting), it’s only fair for customers to give each other an idea of what to expect.

This is literally the worst wine we’ve ever tasted at a winery. We were a group of four - two “wine snobs” and two more mass-market consumers and we all ended up pouring out the remainders of our tastings. I’ve visited in the range of 100 wineries and have literally never done this before. The reds were undrinkable.

The man giving the tasting was great and I’m sure was doing his best. I wonder if he is aware of how bad they are and is just trying to do his job. He mentioned that they were young and needed to age more…but this was like red wine vinegar. I can’t imagine another 3 months of bottle aging could save those, especially given that the whites were also so acidic.

I can’t imagine a wine maker in good conscience charging a tasting fee for wine like this - especially one that isn’t even waived with a bottle purchase or I guess at least give customers warning that the wine is “not done” if that is truly why they were so bad

We drove an hour round trip to visit this winery - save yourself the time and go to the ones to the south that are closer together. For us, the benefit is that we now have a fun memory of that one time we tasted the worst wine ever D:

Spent a couple hours this afternoon talking to Ted while we tasted the wines, such nice people, even met the owner. If you're looking for super high-end polished okanogan wine this is not the place. But lovely down to earth funky atmosphere in the jingle pot area of Nanaimo suits me just fine

Good folks good wine, good music and a cool atmosphere :)

I did the tasting and bought a wine bottle for home. The bottle went rancid and we had to throw it out. Absolute waste of my money.

We were visiting from the lower mainland and had a great, local experience.

I MUST RAVE MILLSTONE WINERY!

After researching a few places for a girlfriend’s baby shower, I stumbled across their page and inquired.

Dale was soooo accommodating and helpful and the price per person was very reasonable.

It was such a beautiful afternoon and this place is truly a hidden gem.

They have availability for Christmas Parties. I would say they could fit 30-40 people comfortably.

Their wine is delicious and they have such a beautiful property.

Check them out!!

Sigh... Every time I go here it's a disappointment. There were flies all over the tasting room which was messy and full of junk. Bottles of wine for the tasting clearly have been open a while ... Wine was bitter and tasted like vinegar. It's sad honestly because I think this place has potential.

Arrived at the Vineyard on a whim. Was hoping to like the wine as it is local.
The wine is terrible. Tasted better kit wines!

I have visited the winery multiple times. On my most recent visit I purchased some wine for delivery as I live out of province. Shipping was well packaged and all bottles arrived undamaged. Would definitely order again.
