Smelled the grease when I walked through the door but that didn’t deter me as I was there to support a long-time locally owned business and to create a positive family memory. That did not occur. Burger was unseasoned and greasy. Strange pile of unmelted shredded cheese. Bacon cooked perfectly but cold. Bun was dry. Fries tasted like fish. Service was ok but was only one bite of my burger in and was asked how it was before I had a chance to swallow it and answer. Moderate noise from the kitchen; banter between cook & server. Will not return, even if it goes under new ownership. Sorry.

Anyone who hasn't tried here or is new here RUN dont walk to come try this place b4 it's gone ! Small issues that are to me no big deal (building likely needs repair) , however - if you want Great Food this place delivers . 😋 above many others! . I'm sad we only just tried them and in a short time will not have them to pick from, for many years to come. It's my understanding they been operating here for years tho we have only recently moved here.Also Highly recommend, getting a milkshake 👌 worth the price! We would have been glad to be regulars with the whole family had we found you sooner! 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

I have been going here for years and Love the food, and the coffee is amazing! The wonton soup, burgers, and spaghetti is always great!!!and their hot sauce! However, I have taken 2 tourist friends there this August- I was very disappointed that they were closed...and in the summer. Many still do not know about this gem.

Ordered fish and chips.....atrocious Heavy breading, little portion of actual fish, which was incredibly oily.
Fries are definitely frozen out of a bag.
Told server food was awful, no further action from staff, paid full price.
Service was the only decent thing. Food was 🤢🤮 hospital food is better. I had spaghetti and meatballs. Meatballs were tiny and tasted like sausage (definitely from a box). Sauce was like tomato paste with greasy cheese on top. Garlic bread tasted of nothing. Prego pasta sauce from a jar is preferable. We should have known, when we walked in it smelled ....funky (not in a good way). Do not go here!

We stopped by here for lunch today on the way to the ferry. The gentleman who served us was fantastic, unfortunately have forgotten his name. I had the mushroom Swiss burger, my partner had the bacon mushroom burger and my sister in law had the quesadillas. We all LOVED our meals. The mushroom gravy with my burger was addicting. We will definitely stop by here whenever we pass through Nanaimo again. Amazing food and fantastic service! Thank you!

We ordered “Mrs. R’s Famous Beef Dip” for take out 3 days ago and the meat was tender slow roasted Alberta AAA strips of PAPER TOWEL on one side of the sandwich. When I called they seemed rather nonchalant about the incident, told me I could come all the way back down there and get another sandwich (uh no! Maybe you should have offered to have one delivered) then said ok you can come get a refund. I went the next day after work with all the paper towel in a baggie, the lady at that front took it from me & went to the kitchen. I could see them checking it. She came back out told me someone would be with me in a moment. Finally a fellow came out handed me my 23.00 as he turned to walk away said sorry about that and left. I was appalled they weren’t more apologetic and didn't really seem to care. I have ordered a lot of food from there over the last couple of years, and I will not order there anymore. I wish you could post pictures on here so people could see what was sent out.
