I ordered a dynamite roll online for pick up. It's hard to judge this fairly mainly because there was no description on the website so I have to go off what I normally recieve from other places. I assumed it would be standard which typically is crab, tempura shrimp, cucumber and avocado.

There was only a few slivers of cucumber in one of the pieces. No avocado. I noticed the california roll description says cucumber OR avocado, and even if they had just commited to the cucumber and gave me more of it It would have been better.

There was only 1 shrimp, I typically get 2. This part to me isn't really a big deal but because there was also no veggies it was mostly entirely crab meat with a small chunk of shrimp in the middle.

I also wish I was aware that it came with the masago. Usually when I get it from other places it doesn't have it so I wasn't expecting it. I would have requested it to not be put on if I knew it would be on there.

Flavour of everything else was alright. Really missed having those veggies though, it's a core component for me.

Overall not what I thought I was ordering and kinda disappointing. The staff did look a bit overwhelmed when I picked it up so potentially just an oversight, hopefully not the norm. Just maybe update the menu a bit.

Selling disgusting toxic farmed salmon as sashimi. Gross. They replied and said if it was not safe they wouldn't be able to serve it. Just because they sell farm salmon at Costco doesn't make it safe. Sushi is not meant to just be safe It's supposed to be healthy. Which farmed salmon is not.

Yes, farmed salmon can contain higher levels of pollutants, including PCBs and other contaminants, compared to wild salmon. Studies have shown that farmed salmon can have higher concentrations of PCBs, PBDEs, DLCs, and other chlorine-containing pesticides. Some studies have even found that eating farmed salmon as little as once a month can expose individuals to contaminant levels exceeding those set by health organizations.

I ordered a tuna avocado roll and a scallop roll on May 4th on my way to the ferry line up. Once I got to the ferry I opened the bag and the tuna in my roll was grey and mushy, I'd never seen tuna like that before. I tasted a small amount and the tuna was sour. I called Nemo and informed them of the issue and the person working told me that the tuna was indeed fresh, it should be okay to eat, but if I feel sick after eating that I should go directly to the hospital. I told him that I can't afford to take that risk and that I won't be eating it. Unfortunately, I won't be returning in the future as a result of this event..
Be sure to check your take out food before you leave.

Quite frankly the best sushi in Nanaimo! Fresh and fast, with extra friendly super-polite service, even when my daughter and I both had a million alterations and substitutions to our order!

Everything is on plastic and there is no recycling bin. California roll was not good. Ginger was the pink type and nasty. Charged me for a large miso except I got a small. No bathroom. Would not go again.

Nemo is the only place that actually obliged my request for EXTRA SPICY teriyaki bowl. It hurts to eat but it's absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Their rolls are made fresh every day. Their Udon noodle soup is to die for! and their tempura is light and crispy and delicious. I will always be going back to Nemo.

Feeling refreshed after finding this place, it’s like getting a deep rest. The staff here are truly kind and respond sensitively to customers’ needs, which was great, but the food was absolutely delicious. Located in a mall near the marina, I’m confident that stopping by when you’re coming to or leaving Nanaimo will leave you in a great mood.

Be careful they will try and serve you toxic farmed salmon as sashimi. It's not a healthy choice to say the least. Go for the sockeye.

Visiting Nanaimo for the weekend and needed to feed a family of 5. Sushi seemed like a good idea, and was it! For $100, we got a ton of food and everything was great. Rolls were all fresh and tasty and ready early. Staff were fast, courteous and friendly. Definitely would order here again.

We always get exceptional service here when my little family visit. The staff really go above and beyond. The food is aways freshly made. The sauces are soooo good. Check it out!

Just got back, it was excellent as always. The sushi is consistently fresh and delicious. The staff are very kind and friendly—they even recognise us as long-term customers, which is always appreciated. They've recently added new items to the menu, which I will probably try soon. If you're looking for great sushi and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend them as always.

Food was pretty average. The salmon don was more like a poke rather than a normal salmon don.
