This place must be Nanaimo's best-kept secret because I live not too far away and had no idea that this fantastic eatery was in our town! I had the falafel wrap, made to order, of course. It was so fresh and delicious! I also ordered a piece of baclava. Oh my, that was heaven! The owner was so patient and courteous, as it was obviously my first visit there and I was a little unfamiliar with some of the menu items. The pantry section is a treasure-trove of hard-to-find staples. The price was amazing, given that everything was fresh and the wrap was made to order. I will definitely be back. Don't let the exterior of the restaurant or the plaza dissuade you from going in. It is absolutely worth it!

O’Falafel offers great food at a fair price in a market where prices are high you can surely come here to get some great grub without breaking the bank. Located near the hospital this is a convenient location for hospital staff and people living nearby

The shawarma here is really good and the best thing is they put a lot of chicken in it whereas in other places they hesitate to put chicken as if they don’t have it enough in the store to make the day. Great ambience and service and they also have a other grocery stuffs as well, really a good place and its super affordable.

Just the most delicious shawarma I've had in forever!!! Such quick service, and I love that it was pressed in a panini press and so was hot and kind of crispy. Perfect on the go lunch spot, made me feel much better than a burger!

We had take out with assorted appetisers that were delicious, freshly made, and very nicely presented, with things like tomato garnishes. My favourite was the lentil soup! It was so good it could be a meal all by itself, except that would mean missing out on all the other great dishes!

The owner of this restaurant is incredibly warm & hospitable. The food is fresh, healthy and very reasonably priced for a restaurant these days (under $15 with tax) I have enjoyed the falafel wrap, the chicken shawarma, some of the salads (Greek) and baba ganoush dip. The baclava is also amazing. A great grocery selection of imported foods as well. This one ticks all the boxes - a fabulous local business - I look forward to going back this week —- just can’t get enough :)
