1st timers to this establishment. We came in at the last minutes of brunch and we're still offered brunch menus if we chose, which we glady did. We tried the Washington Benny and the pulled pork waffles with spicy syrup..... WOW. So yummy! We so appreciate the great service AND a celiac safe place to eat 🙏. I don't think most people realize the mental load of trying to eat safely. This restaurant has taken away the worry! Thank you so much!

Nice little hidden gem

Great lunch! Lettuce wraps were a tad expensive for what you got, but very tasty! Clam chowder was outstanding, and tge fish and chips were excellent as well. Service was great! Nice atmosphere.

We had a take out order . Charged 12 dollars for 4 shrimp. The fish was okay. Very few french fries, coleslaw was fresh but flavorless .
Will not buy from there again .

reaally good butter chicken and good service

Absolutely delicious! Could not even tell the restaurant was entirely gluten free. Lovely, courteous staff. Must visit if you are in Nanaimo. I’d include a picture but we ate too fast!

One of the few times I’ve been to a restaurant and everyone cleared their plates. Smoked salmon chowder was delightful! Fish and chips were great, and a nice twist on the batter that set it apart from other fish joints. I subbed out the coleslaw for the Cajun corn, and it was far better than it had any right to be. My partner order the brisket and you could cut it with the side of your fork, nicely flavoured too.

We’re from the mainland but I would absolutely make this a stop my next time to the island.

A disappointing Comfort Salad as the artisan lettuce was limp and soggy. The salad itself was visually uninteresting. I forgot to order a chicken breast and it finally arrived after the salad was eaten. I pointed this out to the wait staff who were non plussed. I chose to take the chicken home and when unboxed I noted it was very small and looked like leftovers ( $8.00). In retrospect should have sent it all back but wanted no fuss.
In addition I had made an online reservation as my friend was disabled and I wanted to be sure of entrance. Upon checking the reservation status I was told they were not honouring reservations that day no matter the reason.

Their fish and chips are amazing and loved their Crispy cod tacos with yam fries so yummy. Servers are always great! Wish it was open later but 9 is better than 8!

The brisket taco was great, but the crispy chicken sandwich and the 8oz chuck burger were both not fully cooked. We would have brought it back but we were on the ferry by the time we noticed.
