I grew up in East Van when pizza garden was 99 cents a slice (they started the whole new style of Vancouver pizza with the game changing larger ham slices, and larger pepperoni, and Capicola) . The original lady from there owns 4 brothers pizza now and works at the second location, beside Fire Pizza. Both best in Vancouver area imo both in their own ways. (Gotta get them fresh though)
Their pizza here at Paisanos is the best I've ever had. Hands down, in every way and every ingredient. Wouldn't pick a pie anywhere else, no matter how fancy they claim it is.
Super grateful to have a labour of love like theirs and a pizza by the slice shop in Nanaimo.

I have been wanting to try this pizza joint since I watched a short on the CHEK YouTube channel months ago. Finally had some free time, and my belly was empty. Had the pepperoni and miso mushroom slices. I wasn’t expecting the honey with a hint of spice, but it worked off the saltiness of the pepperoni. Being a mushroom fan, I loved the other slice. Can’t wait to come back to sample more of the other variety of pizzas that are on the menu. A welcome addition to the other fine pizza joint downtown on Commercial.

Best pizza I found during my 1 month trip around the Island - and I ate a lot of pizza! I enjoyed it so much I went twice in 24 hours. Really well thought out ingredients, great dough and a couple of really friendly, cool guys slinging the pizzas!

WOW. Can’t remember the last time I’ve had vegan pizza this incredible. Absolutely delicious!!! Kris and Kyle are lovely lovely people who run an amazing business. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!!!! So glad we crossed paths with them. 5 stars across the board for food, service, etc.

Great guys that run this little shop!! I wasn't super excited about the selection the other day(Pepperoni was the only meat choice- And All but one had white sauce) The Crust was a little heavy, but delicious. The topping combinations were interesting, but quite tasty We would definitely try again, As I believe they Always have different kinds. The ingredients tasted fresh. And of good quality Price is not bad. Big slices, and I think it was $4.50 per slice Great option downtown, But their hours are a little wacky

Hands down the best pizza in all of Nanaimo, and some of the best pizza I’ve had in my life. These guys know flavour and get creative with it. The crust is incredible and right down to the dipping sauce - all around delicious. Additionally the people who run the shop are such a genuine, kind and welcoming team. Give your money to these guys if you’re looking for a new pizza place, you won’t be disappointed (unless you try to order too late, get your order in early or you’ll miss out!)
