I didnāt know Panago had changed to a different plant based cheeze until I opened the box. Visually it looked bad but I wanted to give my favourite cheap lunch a chance. It. Was. Horrible!! Iāve been vegan 10 years and Iāve never had cheese this bad. It was somehow foamy? SO oily and had absolutely no flavour or texture that was appealing. I ate 2 peices, started feeling sick and had to throw the rest out.
So disappointing. Farewell panago, it was good while it lastedā¦

Normally I wouldnāt do a review for a chain, but I have to give credit to Panago and in particular, the location Iām familiar with in Harewood (Nanaimo). The chain is Canadian (Abbotsford 1986) and Iāve never once had an order screwed up, or delayed, etc. I like the different crust options, like the multigrain thin crust when I donāt want something dough-ey. My wife got them to include a salad with our order last night and I thought that was dumb but, it was a good salad with nice red onions and black olives. Theyāve been in the same location on Fourth St forever and that says something.

Panago has a great menu even for vegetarians & someone who is on plant based diet whether itās their nuggets or their cheezzzy bread!!!
This time though we ordered extra large half pepperoni & other half was chipotle chicken as you can see it was delicious, kudos to the team, thank youā¦

Friday night rush was busy inside. Ordered for take out and could see the great work erhic by every employee. Our order was delayed but I 100% understand it was super busy. Food as expected from a pizza chain.

I waited over double my estimated time the last time I ordered. At the time, I received no apology or even an acknowledgement of the error. Also, when I asked for a refund they tried to give me less than I paid.
However, I was contacted by the manager of the store the next morning. They were apologetic and went above and beyond correcting the mistake.
Gets the job done. Reliable. Order, grab and go.
