Want to give a good review, love the location, have had a good meal here before but first time I visited I had a fly in my beer. Last time I visited (Sunday), it was 11:30, not open, no sign. Hours are open at 11. Not sure what is happening here but losing the desire to drop by again.
Short beer pour, no attention to detail, there's an art to pouring beer...tacos, both fish and chicken saturated in sweet chipotle, expected savoury, no crunch, taco too big for filling, sides unnecessary if tacos done well, satisfying and satiating.. service slack...ie ... what's the alcohol content in the hazy IPA ? Server - " I don't know I don't drink beer".
The friendly neighborhood north end pub. The food is really good pub grub - the steak sandwich is one of the best in the city. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and the drinks are cold, which is perfect for a pub. Sometimes, it gets a little too busy for the number of servers, which can be a bit of a bummer. My two suggestions: Be sure to check out Singo on Wednesday nights, and always order the soup of the day!
Went with a group of friends Wednesday eve. Happy hr discount 10% off certain menu items and drinks. Deep fried salmon and fries was excellent and everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. To our surprise that Wednesday night we played Singo. Good amt of people but not crowded. Young and old, singing along and having a fun time, service was very good. Would recommend
My favourite pub / bar since moving to Canada 4 months ago - visited from Vancouver for the second time now and just as good as the first! Best Mac and Cheese in all of Canada + great beers, free pool and darts, lovely staff
My wife and I have lived quite close to this pib for years, but have never taken the time to drop in; until recently.I had a bacon and cheddar burger and my wife had a steak sandwich. They both were absolutely fantastic. My burger was the best I've had in years. No one in town could match it. Dead serious.
Parking: Large, free parking lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: Large double wide doors and a healthy amount of room for accessibility.
Although we didn't eat, we heard the food was great! I noticed the service was very good and the atmosphere was great. The live music, was amazing James Vickers is a name a lot of people will hear in the near future ❤️
Walked in around 1:30 well after the lunch rush. 20 minutes later still haven’t heard from a server and got the menu ourselves. 15 minutes more and still no service. Servers were busy talking with each other behind the bar and chatting with the barflys. Also activity avoiding eye contact with the clientele. We got up and walked out still with not even a glance from any of the servers. Guess the owners have to much money and don’t want anymore.
We were at Pipers Lagoon and googled nearby pub and Pipers Pub was 3 minutes away, our server was super fast and very nice, as well nachos were great, would go back again for sure.
Loved our lunch here- the food was excellent. The clubhouse sandwich was awesome and packed with everything tasty! I was with a senior who needed a little time when making decisions, and the server was lovely and patient.

Surprisingly large pub with a detailed menu and nice patio that has a sort of refurbished warehouse sort of feel, but the location has as much personality as a Walmart Parking lot. The location is a bit ho-hum considering it’s blocks from the jaw-dropping sights of Neck Point Park. The pros: Great parking, two large van accessible parking spaces. Spacious patio with shade umbrellas. Spacious indoor seating, mostly restaurant style tables.
Went with a bunch of friends for lunch. Had a great time. Nice atmosphere and good food as well as service.
We always love the atmosphere and our server was great. Super attentive when she could be and friendly. Other than that the wait was pretty long for the pub being under half full, which is something I've heard is commonplace so I let that go. Both our meals where well portioned but honestly pretty bland. He got the fish tacos special and I got the quesadilla with a sub Caesar salad. The Caesar salad that I paid three extra dollars for was two bites of lettuce and a handful of flavorless bread crumbs thrown on top for good measure. I mean the dressing was good so I'll give it that, but it definitely wasn't worth paying extra for. We don't really come here anymore because the food is always so hit and miss. This time was a miss unfortunately. Maybe we'll see an improvement as the busier season crops up but not sure if it's worth the Gamble to drive across town for anymore.
This is a pleasant pub with a fireplace, modern decor and a sports bar aspect including TV's. The food served is tasty and ample. The service is very good and the staff friendly and welcoming. As with many pubs and restaurants with many hard surfaces and a hard floor, there is a lot of clinking and clattering cutting through conversation and efforts to listen to sports on the TV's. The sound quality is improved when there are several patrons present. So, bring lots of friends and family thereby helping the pub to improve sound quality. I'll go back.
Ok...when we were there it was really busy. The servers ( very friendly) were run off their feet so service was slow. The menu is varied with a decent selection of vegan and gluten free options. Our food took over an hour and arrived at slightly different times - not a big deal. However, the food itself was ...meh. Overall, a pleasant enough pub.
