service was so incredibly kind!! apologized for the wait (when there was none at all), asked us how we enjoyed the cheesecakes. the cheesecakes? incredibly. sooo good. not too rich and decadent, and great portion size. awesome that they’re open all night too! the atmosphere was cute, the quotes on the walls were inspiring, and there were seating options.
imagine being lost in a desert, convinced you are going to die out here, and then stumbling upon an oasis. that's what it's like to walk into red's when you're drunk downtown after the clubs close. beautiful, beautiful, place; the essence of nanaimo.
I love Red's Bakery. Open 24 hours in the heart of Nanaimo's downtown, Red's is a bastion if you keep odd hours (like I do) and want real food, not fast food. I've been going almost daily for around seven, eight months, and the staff have been extremely kind.
